RFC on Hugo Awards navbox
[edit]Please see Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Novels#RfC on literary award navboxes. This is a completely non-technical question about the main navbox for Hugo Award. Please look at the two formatting styles and decide which one you think is best. WhatamIdoing (talk) 18:36, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Accuracy review requested: articles by User:Bookisher
[edit]I wanted to flag a batch of recently created articles for review by editors familiar with the works. The author qntm publicly identified significant inaccuracies in Ra (novel) today, including fabricated terminology, an incorrect account of the plot's core concept, and a false publication history. See Talk:Ra (novel)#qntm takes issue for details and the author's Bluesky post. The same editor created a number of other SF articles in a short time and may warrant a similar accuracy check. I don't know any of the other works well enough and the user appears to have only been active for about a month. ~~~~ GeographerJay (talk) 01:07, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
Could someone please fix the issues tagged? Thanks in advance. Live long and prosper and may the force be with you. Bearian (talk) 04:03, 27 July 2026 (UTC)

Typebar Magazine
[edit]Is Typebar Magazine considered a WP:Reliable source for science fiction topics? I just came across this site, and they have a number of articles on science-fiction topics that might be useful if they are useable (they also have articles on topics unrelated to science fiction). TompaDompa (talk) 00:03, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
- I don't think their about page gives enough information about editorial control and policy for it to considered reliable. Are you aware of any background information about the site? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 02:05, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
- No. I looked at their about page, did a cursory web search, checked if there had been any previous discussion here on Wikipedia (no), and checked if The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction had an entry (also no). Didn't get much to go on, I'm afraid. I was kind of hoping somebody else here might be familiar with the site and be able to weigh in on its use as a source on Wikipedia. science-fiction with a hyphen
[edit]User:amakuru has started to hypenate science fiction in article names. I think this is wrong, see discussion at Talk:Science fiction convention#hyphen. I'm not a regular WP editor, but in in 40 years in Fandom I've rarely seen this usage. Vicarage (talk) 16:05, 4 September 2026 (UTC) Edited to give latest (?) name of the article. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 18:46, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
