Challenge - "Mountains of Germany"

[edit]

Greetings, In my wanderings for Unreferenced articles, I found Category:Articles lacking sources from February 2016 with Hundreds of articles, all in need of at least one source. It would be great if several editors here can help improve these articles. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 14:59, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

ω Awaiting - Wondering if these should be PROD? without source to establish notability. JoeNMLC (talk) 12:47, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I found several of these mountains and hills on Peakbagger, for instance Armesberg. Some others could be prodded indeed, like Auf der Baar (not to be confused with the region in southwestern Germany). Markussep Talk 14:21, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Markussep, Thanks for this info. Today I completed the category "B" section. In addition to Peakbagger, I sometimes found a decent Ref in the German article. Plus I also stumbled upon https://peakery.com/, a mapper site, published by Apperies, LLC (hoping it is a reliable source). Cheers, JoeNMLC (talk) 20:05, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Partly done - Currently at letter "H" in the alphabet and moving forward. JoeNMLC (talk) 14:36, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Partly done - Starting letter "M" today, with approximately 100 articles remaining. JoeNMLC (talk) 15:01, 8 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Partly done - Starting letter "S" today, with approximately 65 articles remaining. JoeNMLC (talk) 16:20, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Done - There are a small number of articles that remain unreferenced, so I added the "Notability, Geo" tag for those. Cheers! JoeNMLC (talk) 21:23, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

can someone help me with reading blackletter?

[edit]

Lotte Reiniger has reference with the title "Making sure you're not a bot"; I have been trying to replace all references with this title with their actual name. The reference points to this, which is a newspaper page from 1915. I can read individual words but I'm not sure I'd trust myself to search the entire page and confirm that it contains the info needed (and work out what the title= should be)... Done. Cheers. In solidarity, asilvering (talk) 01:17, 22 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request for New Image of Ferry Porsche

[edit]

Seeing how Ferry Porsche is within the scope of this project, I was writing to see whether its members would be willing to upload a free, high-quality image of said figure to Wikimedia Commons. Aside from a photo of him when he is little more than an adolescent, the only images available for Ferry Porsche on Commons are of rather poor quality. Additionally, if said image were also free, it could likewise be used on the Porsche–Piëch family which is also within the scope of this project. Therefore, making a new image available on Commons would be a significant contribution towards the quality of at least two pages of interest to this project. Thank you for your consideration. Request for assistance on biographical article

[edit]

Hello WP: Germany!

I recently copyedited Felicita Vestvali and have noticed that there is some speculation and a need for more sources. The article was previously a stub until recently, and most of the new information comes from a single source. Would any member of your wikiproject be willing to help with this article? I'm also sending this to a few other wikiprojects (Women's History/Poland/Musicians) so that it can be improved.

Best Regards, HarbingerOfEntropy (talk) 19:22, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for expanding the article! I've raised it to C-class. In solidarity, asilvering (talk) 21:14, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Open request for Michael Miebach

German-language book review sourcing

[edit]

Does anybody have advice on finding German-language book reviews? I'm working on sourcing for a draft of The Frog in the Throat / Froschnacht by Markus Werner [de] and haven't found anything accessible in ProQuest/Gale/EBSCO/JSTOR. I'm hoping to at the very least find a contemporary reliable source for its first publication in Switzerland in 1985. (Something that'd help for a DYK hook would be nice but by no means required.) RfC about German nobiliary titles

[edit]

I request comments at Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#RfC_regarding_German_nobiliary_titles Should German nobiliary titles inside names be clarified with the footnote text provided by {{German title}} or with the template User:Joe vom Titan/German title hatnote or another way? Feel free to suggest changes to either template, regarding the text or the template parameters. If it is to be a footnote, there's also the question whether to place it right after the title, after the name or at the end of the sentence. Agfa

[edit]

Agfa is a very notable company with a very rich history in its field of imaging during the 20th century film. However the article in English is quite lacking and poor. I have put notes for it needing to be rewritten for quality purposes but it can also do with a translation from the German page which is very well detailed and covers the company.  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-46345-65 (talk) 01:14, 27 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Wolfgang Jonas

[edit]
Notice

The article Wolfgang Jonas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged for notability concerns for over 8 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Poorly sourced BLP. Created by a SPA with 62 edits, still an orphan after being tagged for almost 4 years.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.

If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 18:13, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Review request: Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich

[edit]

I have recently expanded Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich, the biography of the East German novelist and ancient historian whose novels centre on the Oglala Lakota and who supported the American Indian Movement. I have a disclosed conflict of interest (see Talk:Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich) and will make no further substantive edits. A review by uninvolved editors would be welcome.
