Neutrality of Gaza genocide
[edit]A discussion about neutrality and sourcing in the article Gaza genocide—which covers an ongoing conflict—has begun at Talk:Gaza genocide#Statement from Jimbo Wales. Editors following current events articles are invited to participate. Jimbo Wales (talk) 16:09, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
NewJeans
[edit]@Dmhll: Please stop removing the NewJeans story, you initially claimed it was unnotable but I found more reliable sources to indicate notability. Could you please link the policy that states "this portal doesn't report on singular people except legal matters regarding politicians"
? In contrast, the legal trial of Sean Combs (an individual artist, not a politician) was posted on October 3. If you can find the policy you've mentioned, I will revert the edit myself. Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ♥) 18:01, 29 December 2025 (UTC)
Discussion for Iran's strike on School
[edit]
Moved from Wikipedia:WikiProject Current eventsI have seen BobSmithME and Alexysun edit-warring over the claims from Iran that an elementary school has been struck, and would like to offer some outside opinion, my position being reinstatement of the claims. I do understand Wikipedia's reliable sources guideline, but personally I believe reporting the unverified claim as an unverified claim is important, and not out of the ordinary for an ongoing situation like today. @BobSmithME and Alexysun: — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-13237-92 (talk) 21:27, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Requesting help with a new draft
[edit]Greeting! I have created a draft page, named List of armed factions during the Myanmar Civil War. I have more info on what you can help me with on the draft's talk page: [List of armed factions during the Myanmar Civil War talk page]
It is quite a long list, and involves a lot of search, mainly for sources, names, symbols and flags on third-party armed groups. Any help is going to be credited for this current event, thank you! 🧶Demeseriecroitor🧶 11:23, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
Areas for improvement
[edit]Hi all, I'm a frequent contributor to current events-related articles. I'm taking a break from Wikipedia, so I'm leaving some notes here that may be of interest to other contributors to this project:
- Shooting of Oscar Belgal (my notes for areas of improvement)
- ICE and New York City during the second Trump presidency (my notes for areas of improvement)
- See relevant discussions at Talk:Third wave of autocratization and the split it resulted in:
- Draft:21st century innovations in protest tactics (very rough draft)
- Draft:21st century pro-democracy protests (very rough draft)
Take care and happy editing ~ Alexandraaaacs1989 (talk) 09:34, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
