Subsection "Site-wide shortcuts"
[edit]In Special:Diff/1351902364, I've created a new subsection Wikipedia:User scripts/List#Site-wide shortcuts for the scripts, which seem to qualify the last sentence of the description of section § Appearance and behavior: Scripts that do nothing other than add a link to a menu, panel, or toolbar are in § Shortcuts.
I'm not sure about some of them, like #User:Sapphaline/skinswitcherportlet.js, which technically creates a whole new panel of portlet links. Or #User:Novem Linguae/Scripts/VisualEditorEverywhere.js, which also adds links to section headers, which some might consider to not fall into the categories of a menu, panel, or toolbar
.
Let me know what you think about the new subsection. —andrybak (talk) 21:16, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- For the record, the subsection has been re-organized into Wikipedia:User scripts/List#Site-wide 2 under Wikipedia:User scripts/List#Shortcuts, see Special:Diff/1351902364/1352087577. —andrybak (talk) 13:57, 22 August 2026 (UTC)

Scripts using LLMs
[edit]Should scripts that help editors use LLMs for editing, such as User:Phlsph7/SourceVerificationAIAssistant or User:Phlsph7/WikiChatbot, be listed here? They seem to invite editors to violate WP:NOLLM. Helpful Cat🐈(talk) 10:49, 22 August 2026 (UTC)
Bookmarks not working
[edit]The bookmarks script User:Sportzpikachu/bookmarks doesn't seem to be working. The bookmarks are simply missing from my UI. I tried to contact the author, but they did not reply and have not edited in several months. I tried to contact at least one person who was using that script and they replied that it hasn't been working for them either. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on with that? I found the bookmarks to be very useful, and I miss them. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:14, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
