Lightning talk

At a near future meeting, I would love to present a lighting quick talk on "My Big 5 Hopes for 2026". Ping me and let me know. Bearian (talk) 17:03, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

By my calculations, the next WikiWeds will be Wednesday April 29th at Prime Produce. - Wil540 art (talk) 19:53, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Wednesday, April 25. - kosboot (talk) 03:01, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

@Kosboot April 25th is not a Wednesday. Do you mean March? - Wil540 art (talk) 13:43, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

@Bearian consider yourself pinged: Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/April 2026 - Wil540 art (talk) 01:00, 2 April 2026 (UTC)

@Bearian Did you ever give this lightning talk? Wil540 art (talk) 15:03, 16 August 2026 (UTC)

No, @Wil540 art, I was busy in real life, but it's in my portfolio. See User:Bearian/Portfolio, 1st section. Bearian (talk) 18:59, 16 August 2026 (UTC)

Low hanging fruit

For some editathons we have some ambitious pages that people can create; have we thought about introducing people to the details more gently? Fixing tagged pages in general is a good way to get into that, fixing typos, fixing infoboxes. This might be interesting for less focused editathons where outreach is more important than improving wikipedia. Tduk (talk) 12:04, 16 August 2026 (UTC)

Good point here. There are plenty of Cleanup tags. A cleanup focused editathon would be fruitful and maybe more accessible than the glamor of creating a new article. Wil540 art (talk) 13:46, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
