Wikipedia talk:Guide to appealing blocks

Appeal

How do I appeal a sockpuppetry CheckUser block when I forgot the password to my main account and all of my socks. ~2025-41891-20 (talk) 04:23, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Checkuser blocks.

If memory serves, the Arbcom no longer reviews checkuser blocks. The instructions in the GAB and in the block notice read to do so. Which is corect? -- the former admin Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:57, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

The page says, "Checkuser blocks are expected to be appealed on-wiki or via the Unblock Ticket Request System;[2] however, the Arbitration Committee may hear appeals of such blocks, at arbcom-en@wikimedia.org, if there are compelling reasons to hear an appeal in private." I believe that's accurate and non-contradictory. -- zzuuzz ^(talk) 17:23, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
