For the visual editor, highlight some text, and you can just see in the toolbar a drop-down menu (it should usually say "paragraph", but if you click on it you can make it a "header"). Hello me! Welcome back! I think you can attribute Wikipedia articles to a swing set. Like when you go on the swing set, your creating an article. You can try to push yourself on the swing and improve the article, but you'll get tired. But with Wikipedia the thing is other people can join you and start to push your swing making your swing go higher and higher as more people push the swing. (But sometimes there's certain people who pull the swing instead and make the article worse and the other people have to dispute that swing and also the swing itself sometimes has to get removed and they'll also have to discuss about reinstalling the swing and yeah we're not ready for that conversation...) hallo! that went a place i didn't expect, but tbh also sounds like many of my own soliloquies :D

my answer: nearly any conversation on Wikipedia could be like the swings and editors' collective dedication to free knowledge is the swing set. no swing/conversation is the same, the direction can change this way or that, sometimes we are having fun and sometimes we feel dizzy or worse, it can be forceful or purposeful or more casual and enjoyable, etc etc but ultimately most of these conversations are all rooted in the desire to contribute and maintain free knowledge, in all the permutations of its manifestation.

with that said, would you be interested in participating in an interview with me (i'm on the user research --User research/Design research -- team at WMF) this week? would specifically like to follow up on your input at the Around the Puzzle Globe session, but also to chat generally as well. ideally emailthisuser me, but feel free to also respond here or on my talk page. cheers --
