Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia and is not permitted. In addition, your username suggests that the account represents a business, organization, group, website, or role rather than an individual. Such usernames are not permitted under Wikipedia's username policy.

If you intend to make constructive contributions rather than promote a business or organization, you may request that your block be reviewed and propose a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy. Your unblock request must address all of the following requirements:

  1. Disclose whether you have received or expect to receive compensation for your contributions. If so, identify your employer, client, and affiliation in accordance with Wikipedia's paid-contribution disclosure requirements.
  2. Demonstrate that you understand why your account was blocked and explain how you will avoid repeating the promotional editing that led to the block.
  3. Describe, in general terms, the contributions you intend to make if you are unblocked.
  4. Propose a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

To submit your request, add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Replace "Your proposed new username" with your requested username and "Your reason here" with an explanation addressing all four requirements listed above. If you need help, you can use the unblock wizard.

Before requesting a new username, you should check if it's available first. To do this, simply navigate to this search page and enter the username into the search field. If the search returns, "There is no global account for [username]", that means the username you entered is available.

Appeals: If you believe this block was incorrect or made in error, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks before submitting an appeal. To submit an unlock appeal, add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Replace "Your reason here" with an explanation of why you believe the block should be lifted. DanCherek (talk) 23:41, 26 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I believe my account was blocked after I added a link to the ISID scientometrics system for faculty members of Iran’s Ministry of Health.

I work at Urmia University of Medical Sciences, but I do not receive any specific payment for editing Wikipedia. I added the link solely to provide readers with additional information about the scientific performance of faculty members. My intention was to make relevant academic information more accessible, not to advertise or promote an organization. I understand that external links must comply with Wikipedia’s policies and that my edit may have been interpreted as promotional. I will be more careful in the future, ensure that links are directly relevant to the article, use reliable sources, and avoid promotional content. I would also like to contribute to making information about Urmia University of Medical Sciences more complete and accurate for readers who learn about the university through Wikipedia. I understand that my employment creates a conflict of interest when editing articles about my university. I will disclose this affiliation and, where appropriate, suggest changes on article talk pages rather than making promotional edits directly. I respectfully request a review of my block and propose jabbari.a as my new username, as it identifies me as an individual rather than an organization or professional role.

Thank you for reviewing my request. Umsu1 (talk) 07:39, 27 October 2026 (UTC) Umsu1 (talk) 07:39, 27 October 2026 (UTC)

Decline reason:

This unblock request appears to have been written by a chatbot using a large language model. The purpose of unblock requests is to determine whether you, the human operating this account, understand why you were blocked – not to test a chatbot's ability to tell us what we want to hear. A message written or rewritten by a chatbot can also cause you to sound like you're making empty promises. It is better to write the unblock request yourself. Please read through the guide to appealing blocks for more help. Yamla (talk) 10:34, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi
I'm writing you as an website officer at Urmia University of Medical Sciences. I understood that adding a link have made some problems to be blocked. and Wikipedia policies recognized it an advertisement. I don't get any extra payment to edit Wikipedia. just it is asked me to complete all information of university in Wikipedia.I won't use other links in the text from now on. I will write A link beside names and important information. I want to change the account name to jabbari.a which is a personal and proper name not for an institution. We don't care about extra payment, but the initial one very much must be declared in accordance with the Foundation's Terms of Service. Further, we don't have an interest in how you are describing your intention to contribute. Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 12:42, 28 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
