Why can't I edit some particular pages?

Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.

How do I create an article?

See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.

How do I create citations?

1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

Potential conflict of interest

Hi Tetsugakusha. I noticed that your edits so far are focused on adding content related to Romaric Jannel. The edits from Special:Contributions/~2026-70499 appear to also be yours. Are you Romaric Jannel, or do you have a connection with him? Wikipedia discourages editing in areas where you have a conflict of interest, as it makes it difficult to remain neutral and risks placing undue emphasis on the person's work. Thank you for your message. The articles are not about me; they are about a topic I research professionally. I included references to my publications because, as far as I know, they are relevant to the subject. However, I understand the need to avoid conflicts of interest and undue influence. I am happy to disclose this connection as long as it doesn't encourage people to contact me through Wikipedia (it has happened before...). If there are any concerns, I can discuss changes to the article on its talk page rather than editing the article directly. Over the past few years, I have also edited other pages while not logged in, and most of the time, my work went unmentioned. I am not concerned about receiving credit as a contributor or for my research. What matters to me is Wikipedia’s role in developing and disseminating human knowledge. I must admit that I struggle with formatting references, especially when working with different types. Tokuryū Yamauchi moved to draftspace

Tokuryū Yamauchi's birthplace - 天満村?

I've had a little bit of a look around, and would appear that 天満村 (奈良県)|"Tenma village" was absorbed into Yamatotakada, Nara around 1957.
