Barnstar for you

| Props for all your work in replacing and removing lots of dead links to Idolator! It's quite a tedious task to get rid of the countless links to that website that no longer can be accessed without the deprecated archive.today domain, and unfortunately means lots of reviews aren't useable anymore. While I have taken out some of these from various pages myself, it's not something I can just purge on my own, so anybody else who works towards this goal deserves appreciation. Keep up the great work!! SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:19, 2 October 2026 (UTC) |
- Thank you so much. Yeah, unfortunately, quite a few of the Gaga articles were packed with Idolator links. Their critical commentary is basically lost now, but luckily some of the other info sourced to Idolator was covered elsewhere too, so those bits can be replaced. - You're welcome, and it definitely isn't just Gaga whose pages contain this. I've also taken it out from articles pertaining to Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Christina Aguilera to name a few other examples. It looks like once any Idolator page goes down, there simply is no viable way to recover that. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:43, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, that makes sense. Idolator was used so heavily across pop music articles back then, so it's a shame that so much of that material is basically impossible to recover now. Thanks for working on this too! Sricsi (talk) 21:48, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
