Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Orphaned non-free image File:Mookajjiya-Kanasugalu-Poster-small.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Mookajjiya-Kanasugalu-Poster-small.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:44, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kalladka Tea
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kalladka Tea, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 19:37, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Girish Rao Hatwar moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Girish Rao Hatwar, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 12:34, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hello onel5969, I am really perplexed on how you decided the article that I wrote is
- Not suitable as written to remain published?
- It has 10 references, but you have decided more citations needed. May I know on what basis you decided so?
- How you decided there is a WP:COI conflict? The person is not a friend, family member, employee/employer of me. I don't have any business dealings with him. How did you arrive at this conclusion?
- How did you arrive at the conclusion that the references provided are not verifiable? All references are from authentic sources. They are all well-known journals, newspapers and websites.
Please enlighten me.--Pavanaja (talk) 15:19, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

- @Pavanaja and Alexandermcnabb: Pavanaja, you wrote on Talk:Seven Wonders of Karnataka that "This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is a translation of Kannada article." Did you mean that this was a translation from the Kannada language Kannada Wikipedia? If that's the case, could you possibly link that kn.wp article? --Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:08, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- I had linked the Kannada Wikipedia article. The Wikidata link also has been removed now.--Pavanaja (talk) 12:39, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
Hello, Pavanaja. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. The page Seven Wonders of Karnataka has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
This article needs to be rewritten from scratch from reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not an outlet for promotion, advocacy, or advertising.
Information on content and common pitfalls to avoid can be located here and here, however be aware that this is not an exhaustive list. Pages can sometimes avoid these pitfalls and still be seen as an ad copy or unambiguously promotional, particularly if the editor appears to be a paid editor or has some other conflict of interest. Please review these policies, including the FAQ page on organizations to determine if this applies to you.
Common mistakes or beliefs about promotional editing center on the assumption that promotional editing only applies to promotion for commercial gain. Some tags or G11 nominations are met with confusion by creators, particularly if they spend much time reading or creating corporate documents, mission/vision statements, or similar copy for their organization. The frequent exposure to promotional tone may make it difficult to notice non-neutral phrases or styles, as the editor has grown accustomed to seeing it as everyday writing or speech. This can be difficult, but not impossible, to unlearn.
Another common assumption is that the prohibition against promotional editing applies only to businesses or organizations. Anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organization, a point of view, etc. and CV/resumé's are by their nature promotional.
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see this page on citing sources and Wikipedia:Common sourcing mistakes (notability). This page has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{Reflist}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there. New article creation can be difficult, but the Article Wizard can help you. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems. You can also ask for help at the TEAHOUSE and on IRC chat, as well as Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure is a useful tutorial.
New article creation can be difficult and frustrating. Sometimes it is better to first gain experience by fixing and helping maintain existing articles. Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask contains links to things that badly need doing, if you are so inclined. UtherSRG (talk) 12:43, 5 April 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Sulfurboy. An edit that you recently made to Draft:T. R. Anantharamu seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is not allowed on Wikipedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or ask your questions at the Teahouse, a friendly place for new users. Thanks. Sulfurboy (talk) 07:20, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
- @Sulfurboy:The article is not created using a chatbot. It is the translation of article about the same person in Kannada Wikipedia - ಟಿ. ಆರ್. ಅನಂತರಾಮು. I tried using Content Translation Tool but it did not allow me to translate into English. Then I manually translated the article into English from Kannada. I did make use of Google Translate at some places, but did not use the output given by Google Translate as it is. I manually corrected the Google translated text and then used it. As you are aware, this is the method used while using Content Translation Tool which has Google Translate as one of the translation engines. Hence I request you to revisit your comment and decision.--Pavanaja (talk) 08:31, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
