Question from William Weeks (19:06, 25 October 2026)

[edit]

I just read an article on the Los Angeles Times. It listed some of the former employees. My father, Paul Robert Weeks, was a staff writer for the Times, but is not mentioned. In the early 1960's he focused on Civil Rights and, mostly, the Black community in Los Angeles. Newsweek once did an article on the "ten most important writers of the Civil Rights Movement." My father was one of them. He should at least have been mentioned in the article. --William Weeks (talk) 19:06, 25 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

@William Weeks, the Los Angeles Times#Writers and editors section is marked as needing work and is likely to be trimmed or removed entirely as the article develops. I would not take offense that your father is not mentioned here. If you would still like to see him listed, we will need to find a reliable source to establish his significance. Are you aware of something we can use? These are often difficult to find since journalists don't tend to write about each other. ~Kvng (talk) 01:36, 26 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Timckcheung (19:26, 27 October 2026)

[edit]

hey im curious how does editing works? how do people make sure my edits are appropriate? --Timckcheung (talk) 19:26, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Timckcheung. Other editors use the WP:WATCHLIST which lists recent edits to articles they're interested in or have contributed to. Changes made to articles are highlighted and editors can undo or improve the changes. ~Kvng (talk) 20:46, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Jeroge22 (08:02, 2 November 2026)

[edit]

Hello. I am going to make a page called Ghostbreakers. It has a red highlighted font. It is on Joey Greco’s page.

As follows, “After the tenth season of the show, Greco was added to the credits as co-producer. In 2010, Greco starred in, wrote, and produced a pseudo-reality series called Ghostbreakers.

I am going to research Joey Greco’s written and produced series Ghostbreakers. --Jeroge22 (talk) 08:02, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jeroge22, standalone articles must meet notability standards. If you can't readily find multiple reliable sources for Ghostbreakers, I'd consider starting by making improvements to the material on the subject already at Joey Greco. Please let me know if you have any questions. New editors are often disappointed when a new article they've created gets deleted because of these requirements. ~Kvng (talk) 15:06, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Thuli MusiQ (22:19, 2 November 2026)

[edit]

Thuli MusiQ --Thuli MusiQ (talk) 22:19, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Hello! I saw you revised my edit on the aforementioned page. I was considering linking it in that manner, but I thought it was generally deemed better to have the apostrophe-s linked with the link subject. For example, if you were linking a plural form of something, the "s" would be part of the link, so I assumed the same case applied here. I personally advocate for the apostrophe-s being part of the link, as I think it looks cleaner, but I wanted to check with you if the unlinked version is more up to Wikipedia's standards. Thank you, and have a nice day! Deeb1324354657 (talk) 22:24, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

You were right, I was wrong. We want to have the apostrophe s part of the blue text. MOS:PIPESTYLE does not work with apostrophes. I have reverted. ~Kvng (talk) 00:03, 3 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you

[edit]

Thank you again for taking the time to review the notability material. Might you willing to take on the writing of an article? As I mentioned, I have a file with pertinent details. If not, what might you suggest as next steps? Best Prcohen01 (talk) 19:53, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Context
@Prcohen01, I'm not interested but you might contact Alexandra Goncharik. I think you are in her area of interest, she does good work and respects Wikipedia's WP:COI restrictions. ~Kvng (talk) 15:24, 5 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Help with request for Max Welling article?

[edit]

Hello Kvng! I'm reaching out as an employee of CuspAI, a company co-founded by computer scientist Max Welling. I've proposed adding a short Publications section to the article that lists Dr. Welling's 5 most-cited papers. You reviewed another of my recent requests for this article, so I thought this one may interest you as well, if you have time to take a look? Thank you! Hi Alisonxyz, I'd be happy to help. Do you have any documentation for this fact? ~Kvng (talk) 14:09, 7 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
