I want to update the Seated Woman of Çatalhöyük article, which currently only presents the 1960s Mother Goddess interpretation and doesn't mention the significant reassessment that's happened since Ian Hodder resumed excavations, or a 2025 paleogenomic study on the site's social structure. I've drafted the new content and citations already but this is my first edit and I'm not confident on formatting, especially since the article has no section headings at all right now and I think it needs one added. On the Yul Brynner Wikipedia page it says he was born in Vladivostok. That is not correct. According to an interview posted on the Michael Parkinson Channel (on Facebook), Yul, himself, states that he was born on the island of Sakhalin (an island north of Hokkaido, Japan) and then, at a few months old, his parents took him to Vladivostok where he got a birth certificate. I have submitted a request to add correct historically third-party cited information to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_Music_Trade_Review

The current historical article is overall accurate and good, but our sources can dispel the "it appears to have suspended publication after the January 1933 issue, then resumed publication under different management between 1937 and 1940." That claim is not supported by cited records.

That editor of it may have stopped too soon, and may be confusing a similarly named short-lived publication The Music Trade Review, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Music_Trades where you'll find his similarly named but shortly changed thereafter name, prior to his joining The Music Trades magazine.

We descend directly from the Charles Avery Welles publication, which operated as The Music Trades Review, then become, briefly, The Piano and Organ Review for a couple of years in the 1950s, which then merged with the Glad Henderson publication Musical Merchandise, which continued publication after the death of its founder in 1942.

While I don't plan to independently make a promotional claim of any kind here, I believe this can credibly correct the record and show the origins of MMR (Musical Merchandise Review Magazine) from 1958 through today, as its library sources will show volume, documented name changes, etc.

It was in continuous publication, which we took great steps to document for our own site, https://mmrmag.com/historic with third party citations from reliable credible sources.

The line from The Music Trade Review to today's MMR Magazine is credibly verifiable, and I would love some guidance on either a new MMR page, or correcting this one so it does not stop with the digitized historic copies mentioned, which NAMM underwrote the preservation of, and NAMM also provides cited evidence for the history.

Thank you. I’m familiar with the conflict-of-interest guidance, which is why I disclosed my relationship to MMR at the outset and did not make the substantive change to the article myself.

I also already submitted an edit request, as I mentioned in my original note.

What I was hoping you could help me with was the procedural question I actually raised: whether the historically documented continuation from The Music Trade Review through its subsequent title changes and merger into Musical Merchandise Review belongs as a correction and expansion of the existing article, or whether the modern MMR publication should have a separate article with the historical relationship explained between the two.

I am specifically trying not to make promotional edits or use my ownership position to edit the article directly. The issue is that the existing entry appears to stop the publication history prematurely and may conflate two similarly named publications. There are third-party library and institutional sources, including NAMM materials, documenting the publication history, title changes and surviving volumes.

So my question is not whether I should directly edit a subject with which I have a conflict of interest. I have already chosen not to do that.

My question is: What is the appropriate Wikipedia structure for presenting a documented continuation of this publication history — an edit to the existing historical article, or a separate article for the modern publication?

Wow... , while I understand your disdain for AI, I don't think this was necessary, and I did not use AI to create any of this. I am not known for my lack of verbosity which perhaps led you to make this public accusation and confirm it with a "reeks of it."

I can't understand how my fully disclosed COI request to create a factual change to a stub demonstrably incorrect with legitimate non-promotional facts is being met with what was seemingly an attempt to discredit me in front of other volunteer editors. I think it was uncalled for.

I will end the discussion since it has been met with attacks on my writing style and accused of posting with LMM.

If another editor would be so kind as to review the stub request, verity the incorrect conclusion it contains with the bibliographic facts I provided, I would be grateful. Thank you for your suggestion. I don't think, being the owner of the subject matter, that I should be the one to use the AFC system to propose a story about this periodical MMR and it's history. I would likely end up in this same unfortunate situation where editors flag me as COI, then question my prose as AI/LLM.

Those comments seem, to me, inconsistent with Wikipedia's rules about commenting on content, not contributors, and to assume good faith and remain civil. I thought we were all on the same page with my fully disclosed position and request and were merely discussing ensuring third-party evidence from a bibliography made factual changes as to not leave a stub missing half of its history, and incorrectly concluding that the publication ceased in 1956. The "reeks of it" stings, guys. I will leave this now to the editors of Wikipedia now to decide if the incorrect article on The Music Trades Reviews should stand, or have the factual information corrected. Created a draft for a TV series (A Prophet (TV series)) and before I get too deep and spiraling on citing sources, was hoping for some clarification here.

If one source houses information from several sections in article (cast and production information), I would assume we don't want to re-enter the reference more than once? However, I'm not sure what the best workaround is as I've included excess sources but I'm not sure either how to cite correctly/how valid those non-English sources based on Wiki guidelines.

The second question I have is, Asian TV shows tend to have a social media account (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) where they post updates on production status, cast information, etc. I see that it's marked as a generally unreliable source, but what if it's the only current source available and not published on any news site? Can we add information with the social post as a temp ref or would it be best to not update with that ref? I don't want to waste time adding information that may be reverted due to source marked as unreliable.

The third question I have is, if I'm using onscreen credits to input cast information (actor and who they play), what would be the best way to cite that source if a reliable non video source cannot be found?
