How do I create a page on Wikipedia? --Chanzipro (talk) 12:05, 12 September 2026 (UTC)
Desperately want to clarify a page.
[edit]The page Eidetic memory is extremely flawed, and significantly lacks proper research. As I have already gathered extensive research and sources on the matter, I wouldn't mind revising it. I don't know what to include or mention. I am completely at a loss as to where to start.
Nabata and Ogawa said in their study of the phenomena, "As a result, [eidetic] images were considered equivalent to photographic memories, and the distinction between [eidetic] images and memories seemed to have become blurred." The very first line of the page, and the page as a whole, makes this mistake. "Eidetic memory, also known as photographic memory and total recall, is the alleged ability to recall an image from memory with high precision (false, eidetikers don't have a significant difference in recall)—at least for a brief period of time—after seeing it only once and without using a mnemonic device." Eidetic memory has also never been used, only eidetic imagery. It also uses bad sources, like Lillienfield et al which is extremely misleading in its quote. The prevalence section is also extremely misleading and uninformed. Matsuoka 1987 found an incidence of 4.6% in adults (if my memory serves, but I am very close in the ballpark). It also only focuses on Western research, when Japanese research also includes a constructive version of eidetic imagery. OnlyWinningMove (talk) 03:15, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
Wording of Sozaboy Article
[edit]Hi Junie!
I hope you're doing well. I got this article Sozaboy as a suggested task for cleaning up in wording. When I read through it, i suspect that majority of the text is either edited or generated using AI. Should I rewrite the entire article or edit only certain segments?
Thanks LucidRecord (talk) 16:56, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- @LucidRecord: Wikipedia has a guideline called WP:NEWLLM which states that large language models should never be used to generate articles wholesale. Accordingly, if you have good reason to believe that that an entire article was produced with an LLM, it's generally best to rewrite the article in its entirety.
