@Jacksonvil: Hello there!

Thank you for your observation regarding the article's overly long title; unfortunately, I am unsure of a worthy alternative.

While writing the lead section during its creation, I found the school referred to as Shōwa Yakka Daifu (昭和薬科大附) in Japanese news articles. However, I am unsure of any short English equivalents. I have read Wikipedia's manual regarding this matter (WP:COMMONNAME) as you recommended, but I am unsure if we can abridge the title, even though the current version is not the most widely recognized.

Hello HelloIAmLucas! If that is the name that is widely used throughout media, then that is the more preferable name. However also note that concise titles are preferred. @Jacksonvil: Perhaps a proposal—to redirect the article to Shōwa Yakka Daifu—on its talk page would suffice? It is a stub regarding a lesser-known school, so I highly doubt it would receive much traffic, but I think that would be more appropriate. HelloIAmLucas (talk) 15:06, 3 November 2026 (UTC)
