Your submission at Articles for creation: Armenian profanity (August 25)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Stuartyeates was:
We have https://en.wiktionary.org/ Unless you have sources that provide evidence that lists of Amenian language profanities are a thing, this is unlikely to fly.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Armenian profanity (November 11)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Yoshiman6464 was:
A massive improvement over the last draft. However, there are sections that are not fully complete, especially the two "To be added sections". Furthermore, I think a few more citations would help this article tremendously. And finally, the citations are not formatted correctly, where the author's name is with the title.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

That is the spirit! As an Armenian-American, I want this article to be the best that it can be. Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 04:20, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Gregory Khachatrian: I was adjusting your citations when I noticed one of your sources – "Conversations on Armenian culture (collection of interviews). ” Yerevan: “Noravank” Foundation, 2008, p. 30". I saw you got it from a book, but I am not a native OR fluent Armenian speaker. I was wondering what the ISBN is so that we could complete the citation.

Proposed deletion of Slidin

[edit]
Notice

The article Slidin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Disambiguation is required whenever, for a given word or phrase on which a reader might search, there is more than one existing English Wikipedia article to which that word or phrase might be expected to lead.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.

If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Dan arndt (talk) 03:14, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Files listed for discussion

[edit]

Some of your images or media files have been listed for discussion. Please see Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2026 March 4 if you are interested in preserving their usage.

Thank you. ALittleButterfly15 (talk) 07:54, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Do most people think the files are unnecessary, like the exact thing I did for Hurry Up Tomorrow? Gregory Khachatrian (talk) 17:31, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yeah pretty much, these type of files get deleted pretty fast once up for discussion (E.g.: "Busy Woman", Short n' Sweet deluxe, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 & Pt. 2,...). I suggest you read WP:NFCCP before future uploads to consider whether another non-free file is necessary or not.
P/S: The reason why "Dynamite" is able to maintain 2 similar covers is that they both consist only of simple text and do not meet the threshold of originality needed for copyright protection. ALittleButterfly15 (talk) 03:27, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hello, Gregory Khachatrian. I noticed that your recent edit to The finger added a link to an image that does not exist on Wikipedia's servers. Files from other websites or from your computer must be uploaded first before adding them to the article. Most images you find on the Internet are copyrighted, and have their use subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 18:26, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Well, how am I supposed to meet that policy to upload that image of Chiyori with her middle finger? Gregory Khachatrian (talk) 00:06, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
I noticed you seemed a bit confused by this, and copyright and licensing guidelines can be rather convoluted, so I'll try to clarify. Wikipedia is an educational nonprofit, so use on Wikipedia is indeed not considered "commercial". So, it would be legal for Wikipedia to use images licensed as "noncommercial use only" or "educational use only" (and obviously, we could legally use media where permission is specifically granted for use on Wikipedia). However, Wikipedia is a free content project, and media with any restriction like that on its use is nonfree content. To be free content, there must be no restrictions on what a reuser is allowed to do with media, including modification and/or commercial use. So, Wikipedia's policies require that media not have "noncommercial only", "educational only", "use on Wikipedia only", or other such restrictions. (It is permissible for free media to require reusers to provide attribution, and/or require that reusers not change the media or derivative works from it to a more restrictive license.) In limited circumstances, the use of nonfree media is allowed, but not when it is replaceable with free content, and it is certainly possible to take a freely licensed photograph of someone demonstrating "the finger". So, in that case, the nonfree media is not allowed; it would only be allowed if its copyright holder were willing to allow its use for any purpose, commercial use included. Since they are not willing to do that, it can't be used. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:38, 18 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

It all started when I was going through the Relapse album by Eminem and I wanted to make some new redirects. I notice a medical prescription symbol (The "Rx" symbol), but I couldn't make the redirects because it didn't allow those kinds of symbols. So I decided, "Maybe it was better to have the bureaucrats make the redirects on the noticeboard." And then suddenly, when I was checking something from another page, I notice the block message from Theleekycauldron. I didn't really vandalize the page. I just thought it was a good idea to do something like this. I want to apologize to whoever thought it was some troll text. Gregory Khachatrian (talk) 04:44, 8 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

I've already reversed your block – I'm really sorry for the mistake! theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 04:46, 8 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

For the record, if you need protected redirects created, WP:AN is the place to do it. That being said, I find it highly unlikely anyone will be searching for the album using the "℞" character, so all of those redirects are probably unnecessary (but I suppose it can't hurt to ask; redirects are cheap). File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Molly Santana.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Gert7 (talk · contribs) 06:19, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Armenian profanity (August 1)

[edit]
Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, CaptainEek, left the following feedback:
This draft is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Wikipedia's verifiability policy requires that all content be supported by reliable sources.
  • Reliable sources include: reputable newspapers, magazines, academic journals, and books from respected publishers.
  • Unacceptable sources include: personal blogs, social media, predatory publishers, most tabloids, and websites where anyone can contribute.
Replace any unreliable sources with high-quality sources. If you cannot find a reliable source for the material, it should be removed.
This draft appears to contain text generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You cannot use LLMs to generate article content.

LLM-generated pages with certain obvious signs of being machine generated may be deleted without notice.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

See the advice page on large language models for more information.
I think this topic is notable. It was previously deleted as a WP:PROD, but there are articles about profanity in other languages. But two things need addressing. First, if you have used AI or LLM's to create this article, including for translation, you need to disclose that usage and, to the extent it was used for translation, affirm that you verified the accuracy of the translation per WP:LLMTRANSLATE. Second, you need to remove the unreliable sources, including Wiktionary, StackExchange, Quora, and Reddit. You either need to replace them with WP:RS or remove the content they support. I imagine the Wiktionary links could be replaced with a quality Armenian to English dictionary.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Armenian profanity to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.
