However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Guideline and policy news
- Following an RfC, election to ArbCom now requires at least 60% support. Successful candidates normally serve two-year terms, with one-year terms retained for filling vacancies. Proposals to change the election rules may now be added throughout the year and discussed on the talk page; formal discussion remains in September.
- Following an RfC, first-time reviewers’ reviews require an experienced reviewer’s check, and GA requirements now include alt text and accessible tables. Featured articles may receive GA status during removal discussions if they meet GA criteria. Backlog drives will run every five months, with a points leaderboard and awards for the top five participants.

Request for Unprotection of Article Title
[edit]Hi Asukite, hope you're doing well.
I wanted to write an article on CarDekho, but found that the title is protected.
As I couldn't access the deleted versions, my understanding of the earlier concerns is based on the previous deletion discussions. These suggest that the main issues were the promotional nature of the article and insufficient significant coverage in independent sources.
I've since prepared a new draft following an extensive review of media articles, analyst reports, case studies and other independent secondary sources. While writing the article, I have taken greate care to maintain a neutral, encyclopedic tone. I have also made sure that the content is well supported by independent secondary sources.
I would appreciate it if you could unprotect the title. I can also place the draft in my sandbox if you would like to review it first.

- @Julian Weber Wiki Hi! In general, it is more productive to ask the protecting admin first (in this case, it would be @MER-C), per WP:UNPROTPOL. Another option, since the page is protected against creation, would be to leave a request to move your draft to the mainspace title over at WP:RM/TR, as the participants there have the needed permissions. - Hi Asukite, I noticed from the protection log that you protected the title CarDekho Group, so I thought I'd ask you directly. Would you consider unprotecting the title so I can create the article? if you'd prefer to review the draft first, I'm happy to place it in my sandbox and share the link here. I've prepared a new draft after reviewing a range of independent secondary sources, including news articles, analyst reports and industry publications. I've also taken care to address the concerns raised in the discussion particularly regarding sourcing and promotional language, and have tried to keep the content neutral and encyclopedic.

- @Julian Weber Wiki Do you have any connection to the subject? I'd take a look at WP:PAID if so and note that you are required to declare if you have a connection.
- I forgot I'd implemented another editor's request to add this to the title blacklist as it has been recreated several times. I took a look at a few of the sources and I am not sure myself as to whether it would survive yet another articles for deletion nomination. Given that, it might be safer to submit it to WP:AfC for review by an uninvolved editor, after which it can be moved either by them, or a page mover on WP:RM/TR as they have the ability to override the title blacklist.
