Jihad Hamid Ahmed (also known as Jihad Siwaily) is a media strategist and international affairs specialist. He serves as the News Editor for the Global/International Desk at AVA Media Group.
Education
[edit]Ahmed completed a diploma in Nursing from Sulaimani Polytechnic University. He later studied in Saint Petersburg, Russia, where he obtained a degree in Russian as a Foreign Language from the ANCO of Higher Education "A University under the IPA Eurasec". He is currently pursuing a degree in Law at the College of Law and International Relations.
Career
[edit]Early in his career, Ahmed worked as a Media Planner at NRT News, where he designed media campaigns, conducted data analysis, and managed audience engagement strategies.
Ahmed later joined AVA Media Group, where he is the News Editor for the Global/International Desk. In this role, his work focuses on the intersection of journalism, diplomacy, and media planning. Throughout his career, Ahmed has established working relationships with representatives from 72 governments and international organizations to align media initiatives with diplomatic and humanitarian objectives.
Global Health and Volunteer Work
[edit]Ahmed is a volunteer member of nine international health organizations based in the United States, Canada, and Europe. His volunteer efforts support initiatives in global health, emergency medical response, and health equity.
Institutional Relations and Affiliations
[edit]Ahmed maintains professional engagements and media coordination with various international institutions, governments, and diplomatic missions, including:
- United States: The White House, Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of the Treasury, CENTCOM, U.S. Navy, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, and the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil.
- Russian Federation: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
