Editor Biography & Motives

The Username

The name Miiversal is a nostalgic nod to the defunct Miiverse social network. Like the platform itself, I try to keep my edits helpful, slightly chaotic and community-focused.

Why I Edit

I am a firm believer in WP:CLEANUP. My "origin story" on Wikipedia started when I realized that many high-traffic list articles (especially those regarding separatist movements and flags) were filled with fringe theories, dead links and unsourced "fanfiction."

Areas of Focus

I spend a significant amount of time on List of active separatist movements in Europe, removing entries that violate WP:FRINGE or WP:UNDUE, as well as flagging non-existent political movements for deletion. If a "movement" only exists as a social media meme, I'm probably the one who's going to delete it.
I enjoy bringing Spanish cultural topics into the English Wikipedia, such as my work on Baiuca (adapted from Galician sources) and the Ruta del Bakalao.
You’ll often find me doing small "m" (minor) edits, fixing grammar on pages like Pepsiman (video game) or updating templates.
I like contributing to/creating articles on topics I'm interested in.

Editorial Philosophy

I advocate for strict adherence to WP:NPOV (Neutral Point of View). I have a low tolerance for "irredentist" claims or "internet neologisms" being presented as historical facts. If it's unsourced or a hoax, it's gone.

Disclosures

I am not affiliated with any political movements mentioned in my edit history; I simply aim for encyclopedic accuracy and the removal of fringe/pseudoscientific ideas.
I am also an active contributor to other wikis (primarily on the Fandom network). My editing style there is more community-centric, but I maintain a clear distinction between "fandom" content and the encyclopedic standards required here.
