MyBeatShop is a website devoted to hip hop instrumentals, or beats. In particular, the website helps facilitate the need of getting music into buyers hands. There are over 7000 producers and 17,000 instrumentals. Most producers are independent, with a big handful having credits on Gold and Platinum albums[1]. ASCAP/BMI artists are legal to sign up thanks to the comprehensive terms of service and licensing agreements. Producers and beat buyers are located worldwide. Since inception, over $260 of payments have been send to music producers [2]

[edit]- Producers are able to create an account and submit one beat.
- The beat space is re-usable, so producers can delete and re-add beats at their pleasure.
- Producers can participate in beat battles with their uploaded music. These are competitions between two producers to see who makes a better beat. The winner is judged by peers.
- There is an active online community in the forums where producers can share news and tips.
- Every profile has promotional tools to attract visitors or play music on other websites.
Premium Services
[edit]- Producers can upgrade the amount of music they can post to their profile. There is no limit to the amount of upgrades or beats a producer can apply to their profile.
- Producers can purchase Cash Credits and take part in beat battles for cash prizes.
Beat Buyers
[edit]- Buyers can freely preview every instrumental that is available for sale. The preview is streamed in a 1:30 minute low quality preview embedded with a vocal tag. There are a variety of ways to search for beats. The front page allows customers to view hot beats, random beats, featured producers, and recently sold beats.
- All purchased beats include a commercial license and the rights to synchronize additional audio material, usually vocals.
- Buyers can instantly download their purchased music. As an option during checkout, they can get music shipped in the mail.
