[edit]Funny Mistranslations
[edit]This section is to save hilarious mistranslations (mostly by MT I imagine) I've found for posterity.
- 玉串: "ball-shaped stick" (forgot what article this was on, it might still be there...)
- "...and that the reason was that there was never a change of dynasty in Japan, whereas in China where there should be Confucian teachings, what?" (even they don't know what their translation is.)
- 岩倉具視のブレーンであった国学者の玉松操: Tamamatsu Misao, who was a brainchild of Iwakura Tomomi. (people can be brainchildren now)
- 思想界: In the world of thought (I live in a world of thought)
- Ritual in ritual-politics means "ritual" and religion. The word "politics" means "ritual" and politics. (I hope that's cleared up now)
- These fields of law are collectively referred to as "criminal law," but criminal law is positioned as the central law of criminal law. (criminal law is a type of criminal law in the center of criminal law, got it)
- April 2015, as a major debut the first month and simultaneously start two unusual crown program. (What.)
