About me
[edit]Hello! I’m Emily Crabstone. I’m a full time gardener and a Wikipedia editor by passion.
I began editing Wikipedia out of a personal interest in learning, sharing reliable knowledge, and contributing to topics that are often underrepresented. Outside of Wikipedia, I work professionally in gardening and horticulture, which has shaped my appreciation for patience, care, and long-term growth — values that translate well to collaborative editing.
Editing interests
[edit]My primary focus is on improving the visibility and coverage of women on Wikipedia, particularly through:
- Creating new biographies where reliable sources exist
- Expanding underdeveloped articles
- Improving sourcing, structure, and clarity
- Turning red links into well-sourced articles
I’m especially interested in biographies, culture, and community-focused topics.
Wikipedia philosophy
[edit]I aim to edit in line with Wikipedia’s core principles:
- Neutral point of view
- Verifiability through reliable, independent sources
- Respectful collaboration
I see Wikipedia as a long term public knowledge project rather than a place for promotion.
Collaboration
[edit]I’m still learning and genuinely appreciate constructive feedback.
If you notice issues with my edits or have suggestions for improvement, please feel free to leave a note on my talk page, I’m always happy to learn from more experienced editors.
I’m also glad to collaborate with editors working on women-focused content or related WikiProjects.
Thank you
[edit]Thank you to the editors who take the time to review new contributions and help newer editors find their footing.
