UAA Report

[edit]

Hi User. Because your username blatantly violates the username policy, this issue needs to be handled at WP:UAA. Whether or not you get blocked depends on the administrator's decision. But even if you are blocked, don't worry; just follow the administrator's instructions to get unblocked (including changing your username). Your page will not be deleted unless it meets one of the speedy deletion criteria.

CSD

[edit]

Hi (User) and welcome to Wikipedia. I see that the page you started, (page) was speedily deleted and the reason is described (destination). It can be quite disappointing to a new editor to draft an article and have this be the outcome, but there are plenty of resources to explain things so that when you are ready to write another one, you'll be better prepared. To that end, I left a welcome message on your talkpage with important information for new editors.

Extended Confirmed Access

[edit]

A registered user account is automatically added to the extendedconfirmed user group after the account has made at least 500 edits to the English Wikipedia and after 30 days have passed since the account's first edit.

Since you created your account today by next month on the 12th, if by then you made 500 edit you will be automatically granted the Extended Confirmed right, you can be blocked from getting the right if you try to game the system by make unnecessary edit to try to get the right.

Read Wikipedia:Extended for more information about the right.

[edit]

Follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. You should write on your User Page that you have been paid by the subject of the article to write the article in question. Note that most volunteer editors take a very dim view of paid editors, so don't be surprised if you face significant scrutiny on your edits. The vast majority of us edit for free, because we believe in the core purpose of Wikipedia (free knowledge), even if the task is time consuming and requires learning skills. You should also have a plan in place for if the article you create is significantly edited, draftified, or deleted in-line with our usual policies for whatever reason - do you then give the subject a refund? etc.

Editing Journey

[edit]

Hi User and welcome to Wikipedia. I left a welcome message on your talkpage with a lot of information for new editors. So, the first step of your editing journey is to review the links, and put some of what you learn into practice by making small edits until you feel comfortable making larger ones, and eventually, creating articles. Have fun!

Article

[edit]

Welcome! Creating a new article from scratch is extremely challenging, and new editors are strongly recommended to spend a few months learning how Wikipedia works, by making improvements to some of our existing seven million articles before trying it. When you do decide to have a go at a new article, you are highly encouraged to read Help:Your first article. If you haven't already also check out the tutorial; it's a lot of fun! Happy editing! ~ 🤗

In order for a subject to warrant a page in the main space of Wikipedia, it must fulfill the criteria outlined in the Wikipedia guideline on notability, specifically the General Notability Guideline (WP:GNG). GNG is defined as the subject must fulfill specific criteria to demonstrate significant coverage from independent and reliable sources. These sources should provide in-depth discussions about the subject rather than merely offering passing mentions. This requirement is essential for verification, which is a core policy of Wikipedia. If a source is affiliated/associated/connected with the subject—such as the subject's marketing team, company, social media platforms, information in interviews of the subject or any self-published information—this indicates a lack of independence. Consequently, such sources cannot be utilized to satisfy the notability guidelines. Sources originating from educational institutions, government entities, foundations, social media platforms, and private companies are regarded as unreliable. In contrast, materials published by "major" newspapers and "reputable" books are typically considered reliable sources. I recommend that you read WP:Your first article and adhere to the provided instructions before beginning the creation of an article. Regards.

Hi User, the easiest way to create a new article is probably through the Wikipedia:Article wizard. You may also want to read the guide on creating your first article, Help:Your first article.

Edit War

[edit]

Without looking I'll just tell you that the best and easiest way to get out of an edit war is to not edit the article, and the best way to end one is by achieving consensus on the talk page.

User asking about participation in anti vandalism

[edit]

Thanks a lot for your kind message and welcome again! It’s great to hear that you are interested in contributing to anti-vandalism work, that’s one of the most valuable things new editors can do and it’s always encouraging to see more people joining it. Here's few suggestions to get started... A good place to begin is the Recent changes feed you can keep an eye out for obvious vandalism (nonsense, bad faith edits and so on) and revert it. Also since you mentioned Twinkle that’s a great start. It makes reverting and warning editors much easier. Learn common warning levels: Wikipedia uses a system of escalating warnings for vandalism (from level 1 to 4). Twinkle can handle these automatically but it’s good to understand what each level means. If you come across persistent vandals you can report them at Administrator intervention against vandalism. Sometimes it’s easy to get frustrated at repeated vandalism but keeping communication polite and assuming good faith when possible helps a lot. If you’d like to practice you might find the Counter-Vandalism Academy helpful. It’s a guided place where you can learn step by step. Feel free to ping me anytime if you’d like feedback on your antivandalism work. happy editing!

Citation

[edit]

Hello. You can find relevant information at Help:Referencing for beginners.

Hi User and welcome to Wikipedia. Here is a help page page on how to create a citation. Here are some citation template options. Here is information about inline citations. And last but not least, here is general information regarding sources.

Hey Username, welcome to Wikipedia! I would say this is a judgement call. A clear case where you should delete unsourced statements is in biographies of living (or recently died) persons because those articles may significantly affect their subjects' reputations. On the other hand, if you think a sentence is probably verifiable, but you just don't have access to a source, you can leave the citation needed template by writing {{cn}} after each unsourced sentence, or if an entire section is unsourced, the unreferenced section orange banner template. Let me know if you have any other questions!

COI

[edit]

Everybody gets an encyclopaedia article. We have long-established guidelines about who can be included, which you should read at Notability (people). If you think that your husband meets the criteria and you have reliable secondary sources (not primary sources or your own personal knowledge), then you should use these sources to write a draft and submit it to Articles for creation, and disclose your conflict of interest.

A COI doesn't mean you can't edit a page at all -- if the edit is totally uncontroversial (for example, the misspelling is uncited and the correct spelling can be cited to good sources), it shouldn't be a problem. If it might be controversial, or proves to be so, you can always propose the edit on the talk page: you could use the {{edit COI}} template to add it to the requested edits queue, which will draw attention from editors not watching the page.

Added Unsourced information to BLP

[edit]

1. Can you please provide a source? Doing so is required for WP:BLP articles and claims like the ones you made. Thanks
