I'm a long time Wikipedian with a shamefully small amount of edits, but I'm hoping to change that!
I've always generally been confident and sometimes trusted by others in my ability to review others work for grammar and tone which come pretty naturally to me. I for some reason particularly take pleasure in editing language to fit particular tones (in the writing style sense, I cannot differentiate phonemic tones for the life of me). Because of this I quite enjoy the process of rewording things into an encyclopedic style, including removing loaded language and bias from wording.
I'm also hoping to become a more active contributor to Simple English Wikipedia, since I find it important as a project and because I absolutely love simplifying wording down into widely digestible, minimalist and accessible language. I'm quite fond of the constructed language toki pona for the same reasons, which is a similar process taken to a further extreme, it's a lot of fun. (see mu)(or my wikipesija page here)
I'm usually pretty hesitant to contribute knowledge-wise because of my low confidence in my own research ability, although I should probably just acknowledge that impostor syndrome is a thing and there are far less hesitant and much more confidently wrong people out there, especially in an time with rampant unlabeled usage of generative AI.
I'm a prolific run on sentence writer, I use commas incredibly liberally and am generally afraid of the concept of full stops due to my extensive fear of finality.
I'm a nitpicker. People dislike me in group projects for overriding other people's works for consistency's sake or errors. This would be favourable on Wikipedia since that's the entire basis for the project, but sometimes my edits are illogical and come from aesthetic or minor ideological preferences that only matter to me.
I'm a serial procrastinator to a degree that's unnecessarily costly and actively disruptive to living normally, there's probably a word for that. I'll look into it later.
Homophones are always sneaking their weigh into my riding all the thyme, it sometimes takes me a while to catch them.
When editing text after a first draft, I often easily miss words I meant to insert. Thankfully I'm a perfectionist when it comes to proofreading, so this is usually.
I'm sometimes an insomniac, if you see me making mobile edits at unnatural hours for UTC+9:30/UTC+10:30, you know what's up.
