4SP (an abbreviation for 4simpleproblems) is a multi-generational web platform designed to provide unblocked access to games, media, and productivity tools in restricted network environments. Since its inception in early 2025, the project has evolved from a simple soundboard application into a complex ecosystem featuring decentralized distribution (DV) and an integrated proxy system (Vern).

History

[edit]

Early Versions (V1–V3)

[edit]
  • V1 (The Soundboard): Released on March 13, 2025. It functioned primarily as a soundboard with "Explicit" and "Normal" sound categories.
  • V2 (Expansion): Introduced the project's first unblocked games and movie collections (e.g., 123movies). It utilized the "Vern" proxy (version 1) and introduced a Roboto Mono-based aesthetic.
  • V3 (Refinement): Focused on system stability and added features like custom playlists, a schedule manager, and "Slotz."

V4 (The Monopoly Era)

[edit]

V4, released on August 23, 2025, significantly expanded the games library to over 1,000 titles, including specialized collections like GN-GAMES and GB-GAMES. This version introduced the "Panic Key" and "URL Changer" for enhanced stealth in school environments.

V5 (Modern Era)

[edit]

Released on December 3, 2025, V5 completely redesigned the platform's visual identity.

  • Styling: Replaced the "distracting" Impact font and colorful schemes with the Geist typeface and a minimalist black-and-white aesthetic, heavily inspired by the design language of Vercel.
  • Navigation: Shifted from a sidebar-centric layout to a unified top navigation bar with persistent access to the dashboard, weather, and time.
  • Features: Introduced Dailyphoto (a 5-image daily social feed) and a redesigned Messenger that preserves a 5-message database history.

Sub-Versions

[edit]

4SP V5 DV (Downloadable Version)

[edit]

Created following a major network block on December 16, 2025. It is hosted as an NPM package.

  • Technical Implementation: Because Firebase Authentication is typically blocked on local file systems, the DV version utilizes a client-side injector to pull files from the NPM repository and uses Firebase Firestore for data persistence, allowing it to remain functional even when the main domain is restricted.

4SP MAX

[edit]

An advanced "Power User" tier of V5 that integrates the Vern System, an Ultraviolet-based resource bypass.

  • Vern: The core proxy engine.
  • Velium: A music streaming application inspired by the Argon Launcher.
  • Vora: A television and cinema streaming application.
  • Vana: An AI chatbot interface supporting Llama 3.1 8B, Llama 3.3 70B, and GPT-OSS 120B models.

Technical Architecture

[edit]

Authentication Systems

[edit]

4SP utilizes a tiered authentication model:

  • Main Branch (V5): Uses Firebase Authentication for secure user sign-in and verification.
  • DV Branch: Bypasses standard Auth blocks by using direct Firestore document mapping for "Registered" vs "Verified" status.
  • Statistics: As of early 2026, the system tracks approximately 525 registered users and 415 verified users.

Advancity and Customization

[edit]

The "Themes" engine in V5 allows for deep UI customization via a `themes.json` configuration. Users can toggle between over 30 presets, including:

  • Matrix: A green-on-black terminal aesthetic.
  • Christmas: A seasonal red/green theme.
  • Deep Blue / Haze: High-contrast professional gradients.
  • Clanker: A specialized "industrial" aesthetic with red accents.

Firebase Usage

[edit]

The platform relies heavily on the Google Firebase ecosystem:

  • Firestore: Stores user preferences, messenger history, and Dailyphoto metadata.
  • Storage: Hosts user-uploaded content and soundboard assets.
  • Hosting: The primary delivery method for the `4simpleproblems.github.io` domain.
