This message box provides a warning against paid editor scams. The template is used to on talk and project pages to warn potential victims. It has also been used as a user talk page header to raise awareness. The template has no parameters.
Usage
[edit]Add this template to:
- talk page sections in which paid editing services are mentioned,
- user pages or user talk pages to display as a header, or
- appropriate sections of project pages in which paid editing services are mentioned, article or draft page creation tutorials are provided, or other relevant topics are being discussed
How to hide this warning
[edit]If you no longer wish to see this warning, you can hide it by placing the following CSS code into your common.css page and saving your changes:
/* Hide [[tm:Scam warning]] notifications */ .ombox-scam_warning {display: none !important;}/* Hide [[tm:Scam warning]] notifications */ .ombox-scam_warning {display: none !important;}
You will need to clear your browser's cache in order to see the changes, as instructed on your common.css page.
