Template:ROOTPAGENAMEE
mw:Help:Magic words#ROOTPAGENAMEE
This page is a soft redirect.
 | This page in a nutshell: Never write {{ROOTPAGENAMEE|argument}}. Write {{ROOTPAGENAMEE:argument}} instead. |
 | This template should have no transclusions. This is because it is a replacement to prevent breakage if editors attempt to invoke the magic word of the same name using a pipe instead of a colon. |
Usage
[edit]The magic word {{ROOTPAGENAMEE}} is described at Wikipedia:Magic words#Parser functions. An example of its output is:
{{ROOTPAGENAMEE:Template:Example/with/subpages}}→ Example
If placed on this page without arguments:
{{ROOTPAGENAMEE}}→ ROOTPAGENAMEE
This template should never be used, but when someone uses the magic word "ROOTPAGENAMEE" with a piped parameter, it will prevent breakage. Parameter 1 will be used as the : parameter, other parameters will be discarded.
