The {{Maya term}} template is used to easily create a link from a word or phrase in any article to a corresponding entry in the glossary of the Maya civilisation.

Usage:

• The first parameter (unnamed) is required. It accepts a string for the term to be linked to in the said glossary. For instance, {{Maya term|glossary term}} displays as glossary term (a link to glossary of the Maya civilisation#glossary term).
• The second parameter (unnamed) is optional. It accepts a string for the visible text to display in the link itself. For instance, {{Maya term|glossary term|link display text}} displays as link display text (a link to the same target).

Examples:

• {{Maya term|LGBTQ}} produces LGBTQ.
• {{Maya term|LGBTQ|queer ancient Maya people}} produces queer ancient Maya people.
