Tang Yifeng (Chinese: 唐屹峰; born January 1973) is a Chinese politician and engineer who is currently a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Provincial Committee of Guangdong, vice governor of Guangdong Province, and secretary of the CCP Foshan Municipal Committee. He also serves as the first secretary of the Party Committee of the Foshan Military Sub-District.[1]
Biography
[edit]Tang Yifeng was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, in January 1973. He began working in August 1996 and is a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He holds a university degree and a master's degree and is a senior engineer.[2][3]
Tang spent much of his early career in the State Grid Corporation of China. He successively served as deputy general manager and a member of the CCP leadership group of State Grid's Jiangxi Electric Power Company, deputy general manager and member of the Party committee of State Grid's Beijing Electric Power Company, director, general manager and deputy secretary of the Party committee of State Grid's Liaoning Electric Power Company, and director, general manager and deputy secretary of the Party committee of State Grid's Jiangsu Electric Power Company.[4] He subsequently became chairman and secretary of the Party committee of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Company.[5][6]
In September 2022, Tang was appointed deputy general manager and a member of the Party leadership group of China Southern Power Grid. In October 2024, he became secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Foshan Municipal Committee. In November of the same year, he was appointed first secretary of the Party Committee of the Foshan Military Sub-District.[7][8]
In October 2025, Tang was appointed vice governor of Guangdong Province and a member of the provincial government's Party leadership group, while continuing to serve as secretary of the Foshan Municipal Committee.[9] In July 2026, he was appointed a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, while retaining his positions as vice governor of Guangdong and secretary of the Foshan Municipal Committee.[10] He also serves as first secretary of the Party Committee of the Foshan Military Sub-District.[11]
Tang was a member of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party until July 2023. He was also a member of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Jiangsu Province, having been added to the body in January 2022. In January 2025, he was elected as a deputy to the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress.[12]
