- ... that the format of Videogames for Humans (pictured) was described as "Let's Play meets 33 1/3"?

- Comment: I chose this hook because it broadens the potential audience of a niche video game book by comparing it broader video game culture and also to music. There are other possibilities for hooks, one is through the queer angle in regards to its Lambda Literary Awards nomination, or by highlighting some individual contributors and the games. However, I believe these would be more narrow in their appeal.

New enough, long enough, well-sourced, no copyvio, and presentable. However, the hook comes across as somewhat confusing. Either a clarified version of this one or an alternate one would be necessary to approve the DYK. Jishara (talk) 16:35, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
- What is confusing about the hook? Is it not made clear by reading the linked articles? The idea of the hook, and previous ones I've nominated, is that the reader should be left wanting more. When I was crafting the hook, the only question I was unsure of the answer to, was whether I should make it explicit that the subject is a book.

I think that works a little better. Approved. Jishara (talk) 16:29, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
