The Aljazeera source is biased and It doesn't confirm the money laundering allegations. These are allegation and this article mentions that he has been implicated. He hasn't been charged, the government has confirmed that nothing like that has ever happened. IT's only right to delete that part. All the statements that you claim to be promotional is not and this should work both ways. Why only focus on the bad things about this man? It seems as if this page is targeting Uebert Angel more than focusing on quality information that will inform people. Smells hate. Munya29 (talk) 07:08, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

• Since information came from the Zimbo Live News which appears an unreliable source and the Gistmania source is listed as a spam source per Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/LinkReports/gistmania.com. I have tried to find a reliable source but my search results came up with nothing.

• As well as delete "In 2013 his name was included on a list of people who bought fake degrees from an online degree mill" from the last paragraph in the lead section since it's not sourced and comes from the same sources.

Request to remove or rewrite poorly sourced contentious material (BLP)

Conflict-of-interest disclosure: I am an authorised representative working with Uebert Angel’s reputation and communications team. I have disclosed this relationship on my user page and request that an uninvolved editor assess and implement the following changes.

Specific change requested: Delete the final paragraph of the “Ministry and prosperity theology” section, beginning “Angel has been in the center of multiple scams...” and ending “financial and sexual in nature.”

The paragraph contains serious and imprecise allegations about a living person, including the labels “fraudster” and “false prophet” and an unspecified reference to sexual accusations. The cited sources do not adequately support the paragraph:

• References 28 and 29 are archived local reports concerning an alleged “miracle money” incident.
• Reference 30 concerns an alleged identity-document discrepancy.
• Reference 31 concerns Angel’s return to Zimbabwe.
• References 30 and 31 do not substantiate sexual allegations, and none of these citations appears to support the broad claim concerning “various charities.”
• “Despite attempts to brush the allegations aside” is unattributed editorial commentary.

The paragraph therefore combines separate sources to create broader allegations that the individual sources do not establish. This appears inconsistent with WP:BLP, WP:BLPSOURCES, WP:SYNTH, WP:LABEL and WP:NPOV. Under WP:BLPREMOVE, contentious material about a living person that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately.

For clarity, the requested change is:

Current text: “Angel has been in the center of multiple scams and controversies throughout his ministry and various charities, leading to him being called a ‘fraudster’ or a ‘false prophet’. Despite attempts to brush the allegations aside, there have been various accusations nevertheless, which have been both financial and sexual in nature.”

Not done. Reading the history of this article, I see many attempts by Angel's followers to whitewash and promote the subject over the years. Your own interest in doing so does not convince, and you admit to being a paid editor (at least, that's how I read the information on your userpage) who is here for the exclusive purpose of "working with Uebert Angel’s reputation". The fact that you're authorized by Angel is not a positive thing from Wikipedia's point of view; our articles are supposed to be neutral, not massaged by "representatives". Angel has been in the center of multiple scams, and the sources for it are adequate. Therefore, the text in question stays. Bishonen | tålk 15:37, 10 September 2026 (UTC).

Thank you for the response. I understand the COI concern, which is precisely why I disclosed my relationship and have brought this request to the Talk page rather than making the contested change directly.

I would first like to clarify one point. You describe me as having “admit[ted] to being a paid editor.” I have not stated that I am a paid Wikipedia editor. If something on my user page has been interpreted that way, that is not what I intended to communicate.

I am not asking that material be removed because it is unfavorable to the subject, nor am I asking editors to accept my assessment of his reputation. My request concerns the narrower question of whether the specific wording accurately and neutrally represents what the cited sources establish.

The statement that the subject “has been in the center of multiple scams” also appears broader than the specific source-text issue raised here. I would therefore appreciate review of the disputed wording on its own merits: whether each allegation is specifically supported by the cited source, whether the article text goes beyond what that source says, and whether the wording complies with Wikipedia’s standards for contentious material about a living person.

Well, I might support some rewriting (I didn't see the term "fraudster" so we can't present that as a quote), but I don't have access to the zwnews article. I think this should be taken to the BLP noticeboard. The sources here are not superstrong (two of them are the same article), but then nothing in the article has superstrong sourcing, and if we're going by that we might as well scrap the whole philanthropy paragraph as well.
