Was Boone's version of Crazy Train used as the theme for later seasons? Backstory?

I think I heard Ozzie say that he'd "quit cigarettes and heroin six months ago" in an episode where their son had cigarettes. Is there some backstory to this show? I suspect that the stars had recently come out of rehab and were using the show to revitalize Ozzie's career by building up a new audience, followed by live concerts on MTV that were part of the contract. I'm thinking the same thing. The article is contradictory: "Contrary to popular belief, veteran singer Pat Boone never covered "Crazy Train" for the show’s theme"; "Opening theme "Crazy Train" performed by Pat Boone". 92.40.215.101 (talk) 17:37, 3 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
