Request to add original developer details to History
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
Disclosure: Hi everyone, my name is Colin Humber. I was an original iOS developer and employee #3 at 23 Divide / TestFlight. Because of my conflict of interest (COI) as a primary subject, I am submitting this request here for an independent editor to review and implement rather than making the change directly on the live page.
To clarify, I am not requesting to be attributed as a corporate founder in the article infobox, but rather to have my role accurately reflected as an original author/technical contributor within the development history section.
Proposed Addition: I would like to request a minor update to the development history to accurately credit the original technical author of the software framework.
- Suggested location: At the beginning of the existing History / Development section.
- Suggested text: "The initial core framework and original over-the-air distribution architecture (`libTestFlight`) were written by lead iOS developer Colin Humber in August 2010, prior to the platform's official launch later that year by Satterfield and Kosmynka."
Supporting Sources and Digital Footprint: To satisfy verification guidelines, the following independent secondary documentation and early digital records verify this historical role:
1. Independent Secondary Verification (Technical Media): iOS development authority Ole Begemann explicitly credits and identifies Humber as a "developer at TestFlight" in a June 2011 documentation post outlining Xcode 4 binary architecture details: https://oleb.net/blog/2011/06/code-signing-changes-in-xcode-4/
2. Public First-Hand Disclosure (Contemporary Record): A Stack Overflow post from February 11, 2011, shows Humber providing technical support for remote provisioning and explicitly disclosing his role during the company's infancy: https://stackoverflow.com/a/4974616
3. Source Code Header (Historical Baseline): An untouched public repository header file (`TestFlight.h`) dated August 25, 2010, explicitly verifies Humber as the sole author under the 23 Divide Apps umbrella prior to the corporate entity launch: https://code.fourisland.com/cartcollect/tree/TestFlight.h?h=v0.4.9&id=b8d8e6086eacd904d582efa4107ff183275a69bc
Thank you to any independent editor who can review this and help ensure the technical history of the platform is fully accurate. ~2026-56978-18 (talk) 21:51, 23 October 2026 (UTC)

Not done: The first two sources are user generated content and the third is a git repo of unclear provenance. None of these are reliable sources. Packrat3860 (talk) 06:18, 25 October 2026 (UTC)
