• The article is new enough and long enough. I didn't detect any close paraphrasing, and the hooks are all cited inline and verified. I note the nominator's preference for ALT1, but given it seems more niche compared to the other hooks (Countdown, which I've never heard of before, may not be recognizable to non-UK or non-European readers), my preference is any of the other hooks. I do note that ALT3 is slightly inaccurate: the article and source say that Camilla was a participant in Ghouri's class, not that Ghouri directly taught her how to dance, so if we go with ALT3, a minor revision may be necessary. The reason why I am not approving this yet, hence the question mark icon, is I wonder if additional hooks could be proposed here regarding Ghouri's deafness and her recoding videos with her "deaf" voice getting praise. I was just about to propose "that Queen Camilla once took part in a dance class by Tasha Ghouri", before actually googling "tasha ghouri camilla", and it turns out she simply observed it as opposed to taking part, and given that watching Strictly is probably enough of a clue I'm minded to look elsewhere for hooks.

Since Get Ready With Me doesn't have an article and other readers may not be familiar with it without looking it up (I had never heard of the trend before, but that could just me not being into TikTok), maybe an ALT4a with that mention removed could also work? • She was born deaf, and was initially fitted for hearing aids, before being given a single cochlear implant at Bradford Royal Infirmary just before her fifth birthday which lasted until she was sixteen and went unreplaced for five months; she later underwent speech therapy, and was unable to speak until she was five, having communicated entirely in British Sign Language until that point. What a sentence! Split this, possibly into three. Also watch for WP:CINS; I see it a few places here and in the rest of the article and will point it out.

Knee-jerk reversal of edit

I have reduced the infobox image size and removed reference to cochlear implant from alt text for second time as Launchballer reverted, despite being initially pinged by myself - well into my 14th year - getting me confused with someone else; please remember to assume good faith. Launchballer added the alt ext here by visually interpreting File:Tasha Ghouri 2023 (cropped).jpg.

It's not possible for any individual to make a determination of what ear jewellery may - or may not - be from an image, it is un-encyclopedic, and of course, WP:OR - inexcusable from someone with your editing duration. All that can be seen by zooming is a transparent over-ear clip, NOT any cochlear implant.

I had already checked the other source images at Flickr, and the cochlear implant is obvious here but not from a front view. Thank you for wasting my time, Launchballer; I appreciate you are Autisitic but this does not give you any special dispensation to veer away from basic WP precepts; remember, your knee-jerk rashness could well deter any well-meaning newbie.-- ~2026-94459-1 (talk) 21:41, 5 April 2026 (UTC)

Firstly, I did not make a 'knee-jerk' reversal - my edit summary explained the thoughts that went into it. I'd have done the same thing if Jimbo himself had made the edit - and frankly "~2026-20960-57" is a bit similar to ~2026-94459-1, is it not? Describing an image is literally what WP:Alt text says to do, and you've literally just provided evidence that she was in fact wearing her implant - perhaps the GA reviewer @Sammi Brie: would like to opine. And thirdly, implying my autism warps my judgement is a blatant personal attack, a "basic WP precept" if ever there was one.--Launchballer 10:41, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Reading MOS:ALTCON, I think Launchballer is in the right. It suggests asking four questions:

• Why is this non-text content here?
• What information is it presenting?
• What purpose does it fulfil?
• If I could not use the non-text content, what words would I use to convey the same function or information?

Ghouri is deaf from birth, a fact recited in the second sentence of the lead section. The cochlear implant is mentioned five times in the article. It is just visible enough to merit inclusion in the alt text, especially in the context of who Ghouri is. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 01:40, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
