Hi, I've made a few edits to the article recently and have been working on some further improvements linked here: link. I've tried to edit neutrally per WP:NPOV, WP:V, and WP:RS, but am not experienced, thus am asking for input.

The main items:

Lead — I expanded the sentence on the disputed nature of the Báb's appointment to reflect three scholarly positions (a genuine succession; a nominal designation to shield Bahá'u'lláh; or, per Saiedi, part of the Báb's abolition of formal successorship), with citations, rather than the current two-way framing.
Citations — I fixed three CS1 "ISBN/date" errors (ʻAbdu'l-Bahá 1886/1975, Effendi 1944, Nicolas 1933). These are uncontroversial maintenance fixes.
Infobox — a minor name-spelling consistency fix to match the body. I also noticed the recent lead cleanup and have tried to keep the lead lean in line with it. I'd especially welcome input on how much of the appointment / "mirror" material belongs in the lead versus the body. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

It looks fine but the edit difference for the controversy section is not showing up well, so it's hard to see what got deleted. At first glance I'd say just go ahead and push the edits before the controversy section, and then make the edits to the controversy section one paragraph at a time. In general, if you think that you're improving the article in good faith, be bold and just make the edits. Experienced editors can reverse anything you did and bring it to the talk page, or more likely just edit over with their own improvements. Cuñado ☼ - Talk 15:57, 27 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, that's very helpful. I've gone ahead and made the edits: the three-way framing of the appointment in the lead (adding Saiedi), the three CS1 citation fixes, the infobox birthplace and name-spelling fixes, and a short attributed Saiedi sentence in the Appointment section.
