Japanese occupation

[edit]

Considering that the state was set up for just that purpose, please add it back. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 01:03, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

How about adding a link to Japanese occupation of Burma? Would that do? I don't have my reference sources with me now, so I can't add much. Farkas János (talk) 21:49, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Form of Government

[edit]

The form of government in this state still seems unclear to me. It might be much easier if I could see its constitution, but I could not find it. In a book I was reading by Dr. Ba Maw, he seemed to suggest that the form of state was never fully decided, and that there was debate between monarchists and republicans in the Independence Preparatory Committee; apparently there was at least some desire to re-establish their indigenous monarchy. In another one of my book sources, it seems Dr. Ba Maw was also referred to with a term equivalent to king. With the chaos of the war, it seems likely that no state institutions became firmly established and the committee-chosen government functioned provisionally. Does anyone have some more definite information about this? Farkas János (talk) 22:08, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Government

[edit]

@Nikkimaria, why are you not allowing for the sourced addition of a one-party state to be mentioned? That’s an important fact to mention… ErickTheMerrick (talk) 14:24, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

You also removed all sources. You couldn’t have at least saved the one for fascism? ErickTheMerrick (talk) 14:59, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
If this break WP:SOB, then just fix that, don’t just remove the whole thing. You always do this, please learn to edit better. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 17:43, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is not consistent with MOS:IBP even if the linking were fixed. The template should not contain details that are not present in the article body. Citations are also better positioned in the article body, with more detailed discussion of the government form. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:12, 23 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
It’s basic info, but I will add it to the body as well. It will also be added to the infobox regardless. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 13:30, 23 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Only if you can get consensus for it first - at the moment this proposed addition has the same issues as noted above. Nikkimaria (talk) 23:44, 25 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please do enlighten me on what you issues you have. I did what you asked, added to the body paragraph and again, you have proceeded to reject my edit. I suggest maybe making your own edits rather than throw the whole thing away in a tantrum. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 04:44, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
This actually applies to countless edits of mine you have reverted as well. You always seem to reject them without providing a way to fix them or properly implement them. I have seen how you specifically edit government infoboxes. Always under the guise of trimming so as not to have bloat, but that isn't true. You just remove sourced information/information deserving of being in the government infobox. Frankly, I am tired of you and your useless, belligerent edits. Please do well to fix yourself before making more edits like those. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 04:49, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
As noted above: The template should not contain details that are not present in the article body. Citations are also better positioned in the article body, where more detailed discussion of the government form is more appropriately placed. That is the proper implementation, not attempting to shoehorn all that detail into the template instead. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:04, 9 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Transfer then all the data to the article body. ThecentreCZ (talk) 03:27, 9 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Exactly. You say to do this but can’t you do it yourself? I currently am not able to for reasons you know so do it yourself instead of just removing it all together. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 15:21, 22 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
