Please don't add that she is in relationship with Rebecca Armstrong

[edit]

There have been several instances of people trying to add a statement that Sarocha is in a relationship with Rebecca "Becky" Armstrong. While there have been some speculations from the couple's fans, as far as I can tell there has been no confirmation from either of the couple or anyone else.

If you're the one adding this: please stop. This is a violation of Wikipedia's BLP policy. Unless you can find a reliable source for this, do not add such statement.

For others: this seems to happen once every 1-2 months, most of the times by unregistered users. I'm not particularly familiar with English Wikipedia's policy, and such am not sure if this is enough for this page to be semi-protected.

Naming standardisation

[edit]

The article currently refers to Freen inconsistently as "Freen", "Sarocha", and "Chankimha" across different sentences and sections. I would like to standardise to a single consistent form throughout. Comparable articles including Baifern Pimchanok, Araya A. Hargate, Davika Hoorne and Nattawin Wattanagitiphat each use one name consistently.

Open to discussion on which form is preferred — "Freen" (as used by most reliable sources covering her internationally), her nickname, "Sarocha", her given name, or "Chankimha", her last name. Since the article Lede used 'Sarocha', I've started replacing instances of 'Freen' and 'Chankimha' - will update if there's a consensus to use "Freen" or "Chankimha" instead.

Accolades & Covers

[edit]

Since the list of Awards and nominations is already very long, and will only get longer, proposing to move the Accolades section to a 'daughter' page and only include highlights in prose in the main article (9 entertainment awards, Thairath, Kazz Awards - please list any you feel should be listed).

I would also like to add a 'Magazine Covers' daughter table/page listing Freen's covers (both solo and with Becky; digital and print). The prose highlights would be included in a subsection of the 'Fashion & Endorsements' section - which I'm planning to rename to just 'Fashion' and complete with additional events, which would be the second subsection ('Fashion weeks and red carpet events').

Feedback is welcome!

Discography

[edit]

A number of songs/videos included in this table weren't released to streaming platforms, so I believe they should be removed.

As far as I can tell these are the songs officially released:

  • Me Too
  • ยังเป็นดอกไม้ของเธอ...หรือเปล่า (Flower)
  • GIRLFREEN
  • ละลาย (Melt)
  • Cheevee (From The Loyal Pin)
  • No More Blues (From GAP The series)
  • Whisper (From GAP The series)
  • ทฤษฎีรักนี้สีชมพู / Pink Theory (From GAP The series)

Some like '"Melt" (ละลาย)' are included in the Music Videos table and can likely be removed from Discography. Some like 'SOLO', 'FIRE BOY' are from performances and could maybe be noted under Concerts? Some like "ติดฝน (rain) - PiXXiE | Cover by KNOMJEAN (ขนมจีน) x FREEN SAROCHA" aren't a fit for either Discography or Music Video (not an 'official' Music Video) and likely need to be removed.

Sourcing standards going forward, and update on accolades page

[edit]

I want to raise two things, and I want to be clear up front that none of this is a criticism of anyone's intentions. We're all doing our best, and it's amazing that so many people are invested in maintaining this page, and great that it is being updated frequently.

However, the article has been displaying a 'Fan POV' banner since August, and I suspect this may be partly due to the quality of the citations: the article currently has around 79 links to X/Twitter, 52 to Facebook and 36 to YouTube. Removing the bulk of the links to social media sources and replacing them with "better" sources per Wikipedia's standards may help us get the banner removed.

Sources

Please refer to Wikipedia's Referencing for beginners page.

The short version of what counts as acceptable as I understand it:

  • everything must be verifiable in a published, reliable source, and is the responsibility of the user adding the material.
  • prefer independent sources like news sites, magazine articles.
  • X/Twitter: "X should never be used for third-party claims related to living persons" (ref: Reliable sources). Use only if there's no better source available.
  • Facebook: "Facebook is considered generally unreliable because it is a self-published source with no editorial oversight" (ref: Reliable sources). Use only if there's no better source available.
  • YouTube: the links used in the Discography and Music Video tables look acceptable to me because they link to official channels (ref: Reliable sources).
  • A chart or award announcement from the show itself is a primary source; secondary coverage is better if it exists.

A social media post should be a last resort. Where an award is covered by a news site or magazine article, that is the better option; second best is the awards' website; third is the social media post.

Example: please don't replace an existing non-social-media citation with a tweet. In the BreakTudo Awards 2024 rows, the official winners page at breaktudoawards.com was swapped out for two X posts, and because it was a named reference the official source was removed entirely from the page.

Accolades

The accolades table has outgrown the biography, so I intend to move it to a dedicated list article (ref: Splitting) and replace it with a summary section in the Freen article. I will submit a draft for review before this happens.

Ahead of that work, I will be updating the table to only keep awards and nominations given to Sarocha herself, or to her and Becky Armstrong as a pair; and continue the work of removing those given to series or movies, which are not hers. Example: the BreakTudo "Fictional Ship" win for AnilPin is an award to the couple in The Loyal Pin, and that is where it belongs.

I am not claiming to be an authority on what to do, and like you, am just trying to make this page the best it can be. I welcome disagreement on the plan and what should be included in the accolades list (weekly segments, for example - likely fall under indiscriminate information, and I'd personally remove them, but I may be missing something).

Met Gala photo removal

[edit]

Just wanted to confirm I removed the Freen_Sarocha_Chankimha_2025-05-06.jpg from the article due to a likely licensing violation (it's a Getty Images photo shared by The Standard Pop in a YouTube video with no license mentioned). Thought I was logged in, but wasn't. My apologies.

The file has also been nominated for deletion on Wikimedia Commons. FyeahFS (talk) 00:42, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
