In September 2014, Red Lobster partnered with Secret Recipe Group to open the first Red Lobster restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.^[1]RLComms (talk) 22:03, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

In November 2014, Red Lobster opened a Harlem-themed Red Lobster next door to the historic Apollo Theater in New York City. The restaurant features a unique interior with a velvet-lined ceiling and artwork by Harlem artists. ^[2]RLComms (talk) 22:03, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Marketing and Advertising

In July 2011, Red Lobster launched the new “Sea Food Differently®” advertising campaign which focused on the employees in the restaurant and increased Red Lobster’s presence on social media. ^[1]

Hi RLComms. The proposed changes seem rather promotional to me. Explicit promotionalism is forbidden on Wikipedia; writing about promotional campaigns is not much better unless you can demonstrate why the initiative is significant. For example, Red Lobster has hundreds of restaurants. Why should the ones in New York and Malaysia be mentioned? If we included every single restaurant opening in the article, the page would quickly become overwhelmed. Altamel (talk) 23:14, 9 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Providing a new source to correct the article sidebar list of international restaurants. Red Lobster does not have a location in New Zealand. The RedLobster.com website now features an accurate list of current Red Lobster international locations. ^[1]

Origin of name

The 1940 Disney animated film, Pinocchio, features a fictional restaurant called the Red Lobster Inn (portrayed as a meeting place for the film’s antagonists). Was the real restaurant chain (which was founded later) named after the fictional one?
