Origin and tradion

jp:ポン菓子 As stated in the Japanese version of the Puffed rice cake article, it is said that the first Puffed rice cake was made by Alexander P. Anderson in the laboratory of the University of Minnesota in 1901. However, this Japanese version of the article has been pointed out as lacking in source, and it may be necessary to go back to the history of patents, the St. Louis World's Fair, Quaker Oats, and Alexander P. Expansion plans

I plan to work on this article in the coming days, with the main goal of establishing notability. Some specific objectives:

1. More citations (I found an article in Eater that seemed promising). I am specifically looking for sources addressing the cultural debate in North America around this food (which is both praised as a diet food and denigrated as unpalatable) and puffed rice cakes from East Asia shown in the gallery.
2. An "in popular culture" section
3. Sections for puffed rice cakes in specific national and regional cuisines. I want to deal explicitly with innovations in the production of puffed rice in the early 20th century and the role of Quaker Oats.
4. Cross referencing with the article puffed grain, as mentioned in another thread
