Probable extinction of Pororoca

The Pororoca phenomenon didn't occur in the expected period in 2015. It happened due to the reduction of waterflow on Araguari river. Experts believe it may have been caused by the buffalo raising and/or by the construction of three new hydroelectric power plants.
