Some links fixed

I've corrected over 200 links that were pointing to this page and redirected them to either the city of Padua or Province of Padua. Around 80 more left. I wanted to finish the task but I'm exhausted. This was disambiguated with this bold unexplained edit. I'm not sure it's warranted. We can leave it in place for a month or two to see the clickstreams, and if most people still go to the city article, we can put this list at Padova (disambiguation) and restore the redirect later. --Joy (talk) 13:41, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

It seems to have been a mistake – the city is unmistakably the principal topic for this term. I'd revert immediately, but now someone has "fixed" a lot of links and I'm reluctant to create yet more work. Thoughts, JohnMizuki, Joy? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:02, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

I suppose the question is whether most of the changes changed Padova to Padua, or to Padova. The former might make sense, to switch to using the English form. The latter sounds like a violation of WP:NOTBROKEN. --Joy (talk) 15:15, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

I confirm I corrected both links and mentions of the city or province of "Padova" to "Padua", which is the proper name in English. I don't mind if the redirection is restored, my work isn't wasted, as it had to be done anyway. JohnMizuki (talk) 22:58, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

I supposed that since Padova is a non-English name, its importance shouldn't override the subjects which are primarily known as Padova in English. But if there's a global policy to keep local city names as redirects, I wouldn't argue against renaming this to Padova (disambiguation). Qbli2mHd (talk) 20:31, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
