update to chief executive

[edit]

Edit request: update to chief executive

I am submitting this edit request on behalf of Oxa. I work for GroupWhistle, a communications agency representing Oxa, and am making this request in accordance with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidance.

I would like to request the following factual update:

Replace: Gavin Jackson is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Oxa.

With: Paul Newman is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Oxa.

This change reflects Oxa's current leadership following Paul Newman's appointment as CEO.

Edit request: company description, strategic focus and recent deployments

[edit]

Edit request: company description and recent projects

I work for GroupWhistle, a communications agency representing Oxa, and am submitting this request on Oxa’s behalf. Thank you for making the earlier CEO update. I would like to suggest two further changes for independent review.

1. Introduction

Please replace the current opening sentence with:

“Oxa, formerly Oxbotica, is a British autonomous vehicle software company focused on Industrial Mobile Autonomy. It is headquartered in Oxfordshire, England, and was founded by Paul Newman and Ingmar Posner.”

The Guardian reports that Oxa develops software for self-driving industrial vehicles and focuses on tasks in ports, airports and factories: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2026/mar/04/nvidia-uk-wealth-fund-invest-british-autonomous-driving-startup-oxa

“Industrial Mobile Autonomy” is Oxa’s preferred term. If more general wording would be more suitable for the article, “focused on autonomous vehicles for industrial use” would also reflect the reporting.

2. Public deployments

Please add the following at the end of the Public deployments section:

“In July 2025, Oxa’s technology was used in the Harlander, a self-driving shuttle pilot in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. In 2026, Oxa took part in the P-CAL project at the Port of Tyne, which tested an autonomous terminal tractor in a live port environment.”

Sources: Harlander: https://highways-news.com/autonomous-bus-pilot-gets-underway-in-belfast/ P-CAL: https://www.transportxtra.com/publications/evolution/news/81066/port-of-tyne-pilots-autonomous-logistics-technology

Both examples are described as a pilot or project; the proposed wording does not imply that either became a permanent service. Thank you for considering these suggestions. HannahPrigg01 (talk) 12:41, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
