re writing the errors on the OSU college of engineering page

the article is short on information and not accurate[edit]

While reading over this article I quickly discovered that the facts are not all quite there. For starters this article states that osu's engineering department is organized into only four schools. After doing research on the osu website I quickly learned that this information is not accurate OSU's engineering program is actually split into 6 schools and offers almost 30 different engineering degrees. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ewokofendor7861 (talk • contribs) 00:42, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Use of OSU logo on college wiki pages

There should be no conflict or issue using the Oregon State University logo (Oregon_State_University_primary_logo.svg). The colleges are, after all, part of the same public university. Do not remove.Ludviggy (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 00:55, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

@Ludviggy: This reason why this file is being removed from this page is explained at User talk:JJMC89#Oregon State University college wiki page graphic and Talk:Oregon State University College of Liberal Arts#Use of OSU logo on college wiki pages. The file will keep on being removed by the bot no matter how may times you re-add it as long as you continue to do in a manner that doesn't comply with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. Research (SMR)

Please stop reverting the paragraph to say, "OSU's Nuclear Science and Engineering school developed a prototype small modular reactor (SMR) in 2007, as a continuation of the Department of Energy's Multi-Application Small Light-Water Reactor program."

The MALSWR program was started on the OSU campus. The same place the SMR was invented. The DOE involvement in the program came in the form of funding not as participation - previous or otherwise. The Idaho National Labratory was used by OSU as a test site for its prototype, but that's after a 1/3 prototype was already built on campus.

I have now clarified that the MASLWR project was an OSU project funded by the DOE, not a DOE program.

You have already been warned multiple times by multiple editors that patents cannot be used to prove that someone is credited with being the first to invent something. This is WP:OR. You need to stop adding this claim without providing sufficient sources. H2so4aq (talk) 04:02, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
