Doubly divorced?
[edit]Television: "It was during the production of Psychos that she met her cameraman husband Xandy Sahla from whom she was divorced in 2009" and Personal Life: "McIntosh was married to cameraman Alex Sahle whom she met while filming Psychos.[7] They divorced in 2006" would suggest so. Well, that or an error. ;-) 92.25.15.35 (talk) 20:35, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- The conflicting dates remain. In addition, the statements are redundant. Therefore, I deleted the statement from the Television section. Personal life is more appropriate a place for the information and that 2006 statement has a theoretical citation, though it no longer works properly. If the couple was indeed married and divorced twice, then say so and cite your information. Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 23:58, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
Several comments
[edit]1. There are quite a few uncited statements. Can the authors please add their sources?
2. Several of the websites that are used as sources seem to have deleted that content from their sites. Authors: are there "Wayback Machine" images of those articles or alternate sources available?
3. I know that the Strax make-up takes hours; it's especially long if he appears in his very tight uniform. Likewise, it would be interesting to read about some of the details of Ms McIntosh's Silurian make-up.

Photo
[edit]That photo is the worst i have ever seen of Neve McIntosh. She's an attractive woman, i think the photo should reflect that. Phil6875 (talk) 05:38, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- I was sitting here trying to figure out if it was really her. Does no one have a better photo (that wouldn't be a copyright violation? LordApofisu (talk) 13:13, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed, and I've removed the image. If we have a bad image, we shouldn't use it. To say that Neve McIntosh is attractive is an understatement. She has the looks of a classical goddess. This image makes her look terrible and it's very unfair of us to use this. This is the visual equivalent of a YouTube "shred" video, where they replace the original audio of a pro musician with intentionally bad overdubs or the more famous meme-level squeaky shoes remix that are added to pro videos to make people look ridiculous. The most attractive and aesthetically pleasing person can be caught in a bad photo moment. Just because it is free to use doesn't mean we must use it. Let's use a bit more restraint and not engage in these kind of antics. Viriditas (talk) 23:56, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
- Note: the full set is on Flickr, and they are all pretty bad. It is noticeable in the entire set that she has unusual swelling in the infraorbital region beneath her eyes. I don't think there are any usable images from the set. It is entirely possible that this is a form of travel-related fluid retention, also known as flight-induced edema. It appears that she had just flown in to Arizona from Scotland. I have noticed that whenever I take a long flight, I get unusual swelling on my face, and one time, I flew 12 hours to a wedding and the photographer, who was quite good, captured several images of me just hours after getting off the flight. In the photos, my face was enlarged in an extreme way, to the point that I could hardly recognize myself. Viriditas (talk) 00:31, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
- I found three additional images that we could use. One is copyrighted and represents her best promo photo available. It's for her role as Emma in a 2012 production of Betrayal. It's a fantastic photo (striking really), but it isn't free. But it is the best available. Two additional ones are from a 2013 conference and are free to use. The problems are two-fold: her mic is partially covering a small part of her chin, and both photos are slightly out of focus, likely due to her talking and moving around as the shutter snapped (as well as due to the wrong settings on the camera).
