Prairie Surf Studios → Myriad Convention Center – The move of the building's page to Prairie Surf Studios was malformed by a non-traditonal discussion and requested by a blocked WP:COI editor. Myriad Convention Center → Cox Convention CenterCox Convention Center – The most used name for the convention center is the Cox Convention Center. Per WP:COMMONNAME it should be moved. It was named the Cox Convention Center in 2002, and it kept that name for nearly 20 years. Even after it changed ownership to the Prairie Surf studio, most residents were not aware of the change, and still referred to it as the Cox Convention Center. See 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 and many, many more. There's another building in downtown OKC with a similar name that could lead to some confusion, the Myriad Botanical Gardens. In multiple sources, they refer to it as the "Cox Convention Center" and occasionally "formerly Myriad Convention Center" if they even mention Myriad. There's a few that refer it as the "old Myriad Convention Center" but it's not super common.
As a lifetime resident of Oklahoma City, it's most commonly referred to as the Cox Convention Center by everyone I've ever talked to in my whole life. Honestly, I wasn't even aware of it's history of being named the Myriad Convention Center until recently, and I've been to many conventions in that building in my lifetime. • Oppose per my reasoning in the above page move. Sources around the time of demolition called it the Myriad. It was the Myriad for most of its lifetime. The Myriad Botanical Gardens was called such as it was also part of the Pei Plan. Also see precedent in Talk:San Diego Stadium#Requested move 24 December 2020, Talk:Astrodome#Direct RM, Talk:Ralph Wilson Stadium#Requested move 15 January 2026 to avoid corporate names, when multiple names for the stadium exist. Calling it Cox Convention Center would be recency bias similar to if the page name for Riverfront Stadium would be Cinergy Field instead. Everyone I know calls it the Myriad, must be a generational thing.-
