Early history

This blog is published by the Alaska State Library about their contributions to Chronicling America. It says the newspaper was founded by Viola Daniels in Seldovia in 1946, who moved it to Palmer the following year. This says the Seldovia paper kept going for only two or three months after her departure. Looks like the gap between the last issue involving her in Seldovia and the first issue in Palmer was only about two or three weeks.
