Fiction: The Mockery Bird (The Billion Dollar Brain) - eh?
[edit]Does anybody know why the list of Durrell's fictional works includes The Mockery Bird as "The Mockery Bird (The Billion Dollar Brain)"? The previous item in the list is shown as "The Talking Parcel (Battle for Castle Cockatrice)". In that case, the linked Wikipedia entry for the book The Talking Parcel notes that The Battle for Castle Cockatrice is an alternative title for the book (and cockatrices feature in the story, so it must be true). Conversely, no source on the whole internet seems to link the words "Billion Dollar Brain" with The Mockery Bird, apart from one which is clearly copying a list of Durrell's works from this page. Is this just an error? Can anyone confirm? (And if so, please do just delete it.) Thanks! Dotdotdotcomma (talk) 16:30, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- It was added with this edit; it doesn't look like vandalism, but perhaps it was. I've removed it since I also can find no evidence for it. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 18:20, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
