Add W Muder on the section Highest individual score in a single innings

It's probably a good idea to wait until the innings is over, don't you think? That way we won't have people updating the score ever run he adds Blue Square Thing (talk) 10:01, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Indeed. I had to check what this was about, but we should not add it until at least the end of his innings. Spike 'em (talk) 10:02, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
And are SA after the 952 record? I hope they don't make the same mistake as Surrey last week, and waste too much time going for it. Spike 'em (talk) 10:04, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
I believe they would be happy to go for it, the series is not as important as County. That is Zimbabwe. TheUltimateInfinityMaster9000000 (talk) 10:10, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'd be having words with my captain if he declared with me that close to a record. Spike 'em (talk) 10:42, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
He is the captain. He made a crazy decision. TheUltimateInfinityMaster9000000 (talk) 10:47, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

List of Test cricket recordsList of men's Test cricket records – This page lists only men's records, not all records. 2601:147:4003:4C40:F03A:E8E3:4075:C066 (talk) 17:21, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose there is a helpful hatnote that states This article is about the men's records. For the women's records, see List of women's Test cricket records. Spike 'em (talk) 17:26, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
  • And on policy based note, men's Tests are the clear Primary Topic for the term "Test cricket". There have been 41 Women's Tests this millenium, there have only been 5 individual years (one due to COVID) in the same timespan where there have been fewer than that number of men's Test matches (and the average is 46/year). Spike 'em (talk) 13:10, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Support per WP:PRECISE, men as default isn’t particularly good practice. Unnecessarily confusing, all it takes is three letters Kowal2701 (talk) 18:46, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. While I do agree that it would be gender equal to call it men's and women's Tests, I also feel that Test cricket refers to men's in tge vast majority of ocassions. Rarely more than 2 or 3 women's Tests per year. Bs1jac (talk) 17:03, 27 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Comment I have created the redirect nonetheless as unambiguous and harmless Servite et contribuere (talk) 00:20, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Display of Pictures Of Players With Outstanding Records:

[edit]

I noticed that Wiki is displaying the pictures of players who have recorded outstanding feats in Test Cricket. As a result, they displayed a picture of the Great Sir Donald Bradman, the undisputed Greatest Batter of All Time. And in ...... him, Wiki noted that he has established many records in Test Cricket during the "12 years that he played". And also noted that the most significant of them is is peerless "Average" of "99.94". Then immediately after Sir Don's picture, Wiki displays the picture of Sachin Tendulkar who only has "TWO TEST RECORDS" (Most Rest Runs & Most 100s), instead of displaying the picture of Muttiah Muralideran who has "MULTITUDES of records in the Bowling Dept of Cricket", just as Sir Don Bradman has in Batting. Wiki also displayed the picture of, including Wiki did not ~2026-10133-92 (talk) 17:53, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Murali is there too. It sends to be 2 batters and 2 bowlers: the most prolific and the best average of each. If we are going average first then Murali needs to be moved down, not up. Spike 'em (talk) 18:00, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
