Irish

[edit]

Liam Neeson is Northern Irish but identifies as Irish. Shouldn't he be added to the "Irish people" categories as well? --~2026-13713-07 (talk) 12:21, 3 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I think he should be added as Northern Irish. Jaxbarina (talk) 01:27, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Controversy over anti-vaccine documentary role

[edit]

His participation in an anti-vaccine documentary is snowballing into a serious controversy for him: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/liam-neeson-anti-vaccine-documentary-rfk_n_693b5fd6e4b0898f02fe583d?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=us_main

Seems very warranted for it to be included in the controversy section. Hslawwerdna (talk) 23:24, 12 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Nationality

[edit]

Why "from Northern Ireland" and not simply Northern Irish? Spectritus (talk) 22:41, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Spectritus, please see Talk:Liam Neeson/Archive 3#Nationality and Talk:Liam Neeson/Archive 4. Thedarkknightli (talk) 01:51, 23 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Timeline problem?

[edit]

In Liam Neeson#1993–2000: Breakthrough and acclaim timeline seems a bit erroneous:

  • Text at the top says that he caught Spielberg's eye while acting in Anna Christie on Broadway, and was cast for Schindler's in December 1992.
  • Text in next paragraph states his debut on Broadway with Anna Christie was in 1993, supposedly next year after he was seen by Spielberg acting in it. .

I don't know the subject (yet), and don't have time to look into it and the (cited and other) sources at the moment. Marjan Tomki SI (talk) 16:52, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Infobox Citizenship

[edit]

Not sure why the section is not fully spelled out. エンドくさん (talk) 22:59, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not sure what the issue is. Can you clarify? BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 13:14, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
uses country abbreviations (UK, US) instead of United States and United Kingdom エンドくさん (talk) 03:31, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Because MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE clearly states, "... information should be presented in a short format wherever possible ..." Thanks, Thedarkknightli (talk) 06:28, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
To be fair, I had a quick look at Category:Naturalized citizens of the United States and all the ones I looked at have full country names. Not sure now disruptive it might be to change to that format. Might be clearer? Martinevans123 (talk) 13:54, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I personally think it's a bit of an overapplication and was fine the way it was – don't think it would be at all disruptive to have the countries spelled out in that particular section. 4TheWynne (talk • contribs) 14:40, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hello again guys, please feel free to spell out the country names in infobox. I mean, I have changed my mind and now agree that there isn't a good reason to use abbreviations in Neeson's case (unless for consistency). BTW, I think that, unless we omit "(from 2009)", we shouldn't format |citizenship= in a horizontal list because it makes the parameter misleading, no? Anyway, thanks for your time!
