Castle dating needs clarification
[edit]The article describes the lordship of Pont as having a "12th-century castle". This follows the Historical Dictionary of Switzerland entry for Le Bry, but conflicts with its more detailed entry for Pont-en-Ogoz.
François Guex's entry distinguishes an earlier castle, probably situated at Vieux Châtel, from the castle beside the medieval town in a meander of the Sarine. It dates the latter castle, town and Saint-Théodule chapel to the 13th century.[1] The canton of Fribourg's archaeological service likewise dates the two surviving towers on the Île d'Ogoz to the 13th century.[2]
The wording should clarify which castle is meant. If it refers to the castle beside the medieval town, the 13th-century dating appears better supported; alternatively, "medieval castle" would avoid the unresolved discrepancy. Викидим (talk) 19:30, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
